OOHH have a problem. I am a DVC member & think I got the last room for next week at Port Orleans - Problem it is a king room for 2 people. Well it was just going to be my daughter & me - Now her twin brother wants to go.. He can easily sleep on a blow up mattress (they are 11) - I know this is frowned upon..but I cannot break his heart.. How will I get tickets - Can I just not link them to our room..If I buy three its going to show we have 3 in room..Help any advice??

I would call and try to find a room that will accommodate three people. If you get caught you may be told to leave - that would be pretty bad, IMO. I wouldn't risk it. Hopefully, if you keep trying, you will find something that can accommodate him also.

Can they not just add him to your reservation? I would assume you could get a rollaway cot for the room, and then purchase a park ticket for him as well.

The big problem will be if he is not on the room he can't use magical express or EMH benefits. Do the King rooms not allow 3 if 2 are minors?

do try to add him, if he does use a magicband Disney will know he is there, I haven't hear of Disney kicking people of their room because of it, but is just one more person and is a kid I don't see you having problems adding him to it, have fun!

Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter? The King Rooms in Riverside occupancy limit is either 2 or 3, depending upon wing, so you would be able to add him to the reservation and you would be placed in the correct wing. If you are at French Quarter, I would call and throw myself on the reservation agent's mercy and try to book a room with an occupancy of more than 2. Otherwise, brother can't go. . .

I thought it was 2 - 3 only if the 3rd was in a pack and play. Maybe that's just the values though...

Appreciate the replies - like I said the big problem is that next week is spring break - this was very spur of the moment - i mean everywhere is literally booked solid- then I'm scared to tell them because they will have a flag on is..

The problem is, if they see you have an extra, they will either make you pay rack rate for another room, or kick you all out. This is not something to mess around with.

It is a problem, and at least one poster that I can remember has seen people tossed for having too many in their room. This is something they don't bend on at all. The OP either needs to find accommodation that will hold them all, or tell the new addition they simply can't go.

Yes, but you're asking us to tell you how to circumvent Disney's occupancy rules and that's not permitted on these boards.

Please keep checking. People cancel trips at the last minute all of the time and something might open up.

So out of curiosity I tried to book a king room at POR on Disney's site. And there are king rooms that hold 3, but they have a pull down in them. The OP needs to call and see if they can add the third child. If there are any rooms with that set up left to give, that would be perfect. If not, well, then there is your answer.

The best thing to do is go ahead and call. Maybe you would have to do a split stay or something. I wouldn't wait any longer.

IF you are in the Bayou section of Riverside, there will be a modest sized murphy bed....you can have 3 in the room. If you are booked at French QUarter, that will not be possible. I would suggest calling and requesting a cot - they have them available at most resorts for $15 per night. I don't think it would be a problem to have 3 in the room?

I would also think being a DVC member there would be some sort of further punishment if you are caught breaking an occupancy limit. Not sure, but it seems logical.

Many resorts no longer have cots to hand out. But yes, the OP definitely needs to call. Trying to do a work around without knowing if it is necessary screams Bad Idea.

Honestly not trying to cheat Disney out of anything - we are DVC members & have traveled to Disney many times- I can't just tell my child he can't go-- ugh I guess I will call them - I'm not a rule breaker people

This isn't just a Disney issue. It's a fire code issue. Occupancy rates are occupancy rates. Don't try to sneak around the rules.
