Miss Piggy
Despite her current glamorous state, Miss Piggy has not always been in the pink. Born and raised on a farm, little Miss Piggy enjoyed a typically happy agricultural childhood. Tragedy struck when she was six and her beloved father was killed in a tractor accident. The broken-hearted Piggy found solace only in her dream that one day she would become a star.

After graduating from charm school, the teenage Miss Piggy left home and found employment selling gloves in a department store. Unfortunately, the meager salary didn't cover her extensive wardrobe costs, and she was forced to pose for certain ads - including one for a bacon product.

It is still too painful for her to speak about that time in her life, but she emphatically states she never took her clothes off for a job. Eventually, Piggy's luck changed and she became a popular actress in commercials. To protect herself from overzealous admirers, she completed a correspondence course, "Karate by Cassette."

Still pursuing her acting and modeling ambitions, Miss Piggy entered a beauty contest that would change her life forever. There, she met Kermit, and the rest, as they say, is history. Miss Piggy moved to London and joined the chorus of The Muppet Show. Before long, she was the lead chanteuse and her career soon expanded to include feature films, television specials, home videos, records and books.

Despite audience acclaim for her silver-screen achievements, Miss Piggy will never receive her industry's highest honor - The Academy Award. The fine print in the rules states "no pigs, no frogs, no bears, no chickens."

"Moi was upset," Miss Piggy admits. "But moi got over it."
