don't drink the water?

I am always find that it is fine. Some people don't like the taste because it will be different then what you are used to. But if you want to save paying big bucks for water and are worried about the water you can always bring a Brita water bottle or something like it that has a built in filter.

It's the trace of sulfur that's common to some degree in all drinking water in Florida. Some people can't stand it, some people don't mind it. Myself personally the drinking water in Orlando isn't as high in sulfur as some of the rural towns in Florida so it doesn't bother me.

You can also run water through the coffee filters if you have a coffee maker in your room. :thumbsup2

For me I didn't like the water, Lol I couldn't even put ice in my soda because it changed the taste to me. lol "no ice please"

My family agrees with this too! Being from Kansas, the water in orlando has a definate "mineral" taste in comparison. Call me wimpy, but I even brushed my teeth with a water bottle. We packed as many water bottles as we could into our suitcases. You'll get really thirsty, the water fountains are not great tasting and the water bottles in the parks are $$$!

I drank the water with no problems but my wife brought crystal light packets for hers and she thought it was fine after putting the drink mix in.

I have a Culligan filtering system in my home, and it filters my water as it comes in the house. Tasting regular tap water from anywhere about makes me sick now. So, I have filtering water bottles I take with me everywhere. It has saved probably hundreds of dollars in bottled water at the parks, and I think I paid $12.99 each for them. Now hopefully my Dd stops losing hers at the parks. I guess Space Mountain ate one on the last trip.

It was different than what I'm used to, but not unbearable. I found after my first day or two of drinking it I was okay with it.

We've been to WDW 40X's and have never bought bottled water, same at home. We feel water is free, I can drink it, alittle different tasting, maybe but not to the tune of paying for bottled water and having it delivered. Alot of years ago, there was no such thing as bottled water and everyone enjoyed drinking Florida water out of the fouuntains, what happened?

I always get a laugh when someone posts about how bad Florida water is. Much of the bottled water sold in the United States comes from Florida.

:rotfl2:

Ugh I could not take the taste of the tap water!! Definite sulfur smell. Even when it came to brushing my teeth I kept a bottle of water in the bathroom. DON'T DRINK THE WATER lol

Yeah I think its the smell that gets ya. The taste is different, but its the smell! Oh especially in the shower at the Contemporary Resort. The whole bathroom smelled like that. We had to keep the door closed. I never noticed it inside any of the other hotel rooms, but for some reason we did there.

The ice never bothered me, just the water from the fountains mostly. We always bring water or the screw on water filter caps.

I have heard of people getting upset stomachs from the water, but we never experienced that.

Some people are fine with it, but others get sick drinking it. You never know until you try, but if you are in the second category- there goes a day of your vacation.

My mom threw up one morning in Epcot after she had drank the water before we left the room. Something with the water did not sit well with her stomach. Luckily we've got it all on video. :woohoo:

I live in a community noted as having among the best tasting tap water in the nation. Having said that, I have never, ever noticed a problem with the water at Disney. No funny taste. No funny smell. Nothing unusual. I never even knew it was an issue for some folks until I read it here.

I will not get ice put into my drinks nor do I drink the water. It makes DH & myself sick & I mean sick. Not worth spending all that money to be sick on vacation. I prefer bottled water anyhow so that what I drink at home or at parks. MHO

Before there was bottle water I drank from the tap but not as much junk that in the water those days. But then again I grew up on a farm with well water. When I started dating DH he hated the water oh well everyone else loved it.:lmao:
