Since July 1st:

My mother has been in and out of the hospital for a drug interaction/withdrawl combo (the first time I ever admitted someone to the hospital)

My good friend has suffered what is thought to be a mini-stroke; her MRI is still to be evaluated

My nephew was hit by a taxi cab, and is in the hospital with a shattered shin and cracked vertabrae

My uncle died (I called my mom to give her an update about my nephew to receive that news)

As for me ... my eye is swollen shut, probably a bug bite.

If you were smart, you wouldn't come near me. Apparently, my aura needs some big time cleansing.

I'll brave it to say I hope things get better! Then I"ll go wash my hands, say a few prayers, throw salt over my shoulder...

the good news is that a 'mini stroke" or t.i.a.-tends to only affect the person for a short period (several hours to a couple of days) vs. a full blown (i had a few before i had full blown strokes).
