:scared1: losing power in the winter is not good!!!! ( berks county?)

we are getting 4-6 more tomorrow and they are saying more next Monday!!!! :furious:

:lmao: rain will empty a park!!!!

Montgomery County... it was awful not having power. Not looking forward to more snow tomorrow... we still have over 2 feet of snow that needs to melt. I am purposely planning another trip next January to get away from snow... haha... come on next Tuesday!!! Need my 11 month window to open up so I can book!

:thumbsup2 we bought 400 points at bwv in 1999 and never stayed one night there. :lmao: up to this past june, we only stayed at (with points) at okw. they call it the retirement village so I guess im ready!!!! :lmao:

june we stayed at Saratoga in a one bedroom and it was ok but to many doors and the closet was to small.

I always wanted to stay at beach club. I used all my point on four trips last year to visit dd so we are paying cash in September and staying at the beach club. its our 30th anniversary. dw wants to eat at narcoosee and I am also going to make a surprise resi at victory and alberts. she has no idea! :thumbsup2

It is great to read such positive comments! My daughter and I had a great girls trip over this past New Years. Prior to our trip I had been reading such negative things I was getting very worried. But I did my research and planning-like I usually do- and we had a great time. I agree with some other comments on this thread that there is so much more to Disney than the headliner rides. Yes we enjoy them but I am happy riding TTA! On one of our last family trips my sons were thrilled to get their hair colored and sprinkled with Pirate Dust at the barber shop. When my daughter was younger she didn't really care for the rides and we spent alot of time finding every character and getting autographs.

I have such fond memories of my Disney trips-going as a child with my parents, my first trip as an "adult" with my roommates after college, my honeymoon trip!, Lindsay's first trip as a baby, searching for every princess when Lindsay was a little older, riding all the "big" rides when Lindsay finally got over her fears, taking my parents for my 40th bday, taking our boys on their first trip after we adopted them, a surprise trip for my friend's 40th bday and my last trip-girls only before Lindsay graduates from high school. Disney has been such a part of my family's life and I can't wait to make more memories in the future!

Thank you for this thread. I'm getting so excited for my next trip. :cool1:
This will be our first Thanksgiving/Christmas visit. I'm so excited for my kids to attend the MVMCP. My boys are growing so fast they will be 8 & 11 when we go, but I feel Disney keeps them my little boys for just a bit longer.

omg I am so excited for you! I just adore that time of year! The Lights, MVMCP, the decs...you and your boys will love it! We are planning a December trip ourselves 2015.

I can't lie. I get a little teary eyed every time I watch Mickey open the MK. That, and the fact that the Little Mermaid pointed my daughter out of the crowd during the afternoon parade (2 years in a row!) because of her red hair. Even in a crowd of 1000's, they make kids feel special.

Me too!

7 more days .... Getting so excited!!! Let's keep this thread going. It's great to hear the positivity!!!!

off topic!!!!!

I was cleaning up my photo bucket a little tonight and found this picture.
this past fathers day.

I figure these boards are a lot like the news. Lots of "bad" stuff fills the newscast with a happy story at the end. There's sooooo much happy at WDW that most of us simply will not post about it because when we are there you SEE 98% happy people ! Everyone knows already how wonderful it is.
Great to see people like you do your research and planning and knowing that no matter what changes occur WDW will always be a Magical Place that is sooooooo much more than roller coaster rides.

Thank you! Thank you all! I too have been reading the horror stories, but hoped that by the time we go (next Feb) that things would be figured out and running smoothly. I am so happy to hear all the wonderful GOOD stories on here!

oneprincessjo - we are in Montgomery County too - horrible winter! We were one of the lucky ones to not lose power last week during the storms. I had friends whose power was out for like 6 days though - how awful. Can't even imagine!

I'm with you about booking - there is something special just knowing it's booked. We are booked for our Oct trip - kinda helps a little bit getting through the rest of this crappy weather.

Thanks to this thread I am actually starting to get excited for my trip next week. I hadn't been feeling quite as excited as I usually do, between FP+ complaints and what seems like an endless stream of other complaints. We are stay at CBR which is due for a rehab this spring so there have been a large number of complaints about the resort as well.

But this is Disney, and it's just my husband and I celebrating our 12 year anniversary. Its going to be awesome! Because any vacation with him would be anyway. Add my guy Donald Duck to the mix and how can I go wrong. I should be home in about 10 days with all sorts of good stories to share.

And I've started planning my next two trips! Not letting others affect my love of all things Disney!

Thanks again for a ray of sunshine among the gloom.

congrats and Happy anniversary! Is there no better way to celebrate! How nice re CBR. I think it's a lovely resort. Please do let us know how your trip goes! Have a magical time!

Just wanted to touch base. We had a fantastic time despite not be able to book fast passes ahead of time. When I get more time I'll post more about our trip. However the fast pass situation was basically the same as it used to be before fast pass plus. Because we had group tickets we are not able to link them to my Disney experience even though we stayed on site. We didn't have problem getting fast passes for most rides. However the same rides that were previously hard to get fast passes for are r still hard to get fast passes for. Toy story mania was sold out by 930 on Saturday morning. The cast members working the fast pass machines were fantastic. Although we couldn't get soarin for the same hour window they were able to separate out our fast passes so they overlapped and we still had a 20 minute window that we can all ride together.

Count me in the "glass half full" camp here - and thanks for starting and keeping this positive thread going!

We are heading down in 12 days and I have been reading the negative news pouring in about FP lines, FP confusion and overall grumpiness. I have so much to be thankful for that I refuse to let all the negativity impact my excitement. We are a family of 4 but have not been able to visit the Mouse with our entire crew since March 2011 due to DH job loss (after 26 years!) and his new position (with no PTO for first year). My eldest is now nearly 17 and will probably not be going with us much longer - so I plan to focus on being with family at a place with such wonderful memories. So here's to keeping it light and looking to make more WDW memories while we can.:love:

Here now! I LOVE fast pass!!!! We've changed on the go, everything has worked perfectly! Magic bands work great! No complaints from me!
