Nice to see that so many people were willing to help others this time. Too bad that the Walt pin evaporized so brutally, but we all figured out why. It is ridiculous that only a few people grabbed most of them, gobbling them as if they weren't just racks. I hope that next Saturday we can see a more subdued, mellowed situation, but I will do my best again to try to help some who may not get a few pins.

Just watch out the auction sites, they'll all be there. But, I tell everyone who could not get either a #1 or a #7: Don't bid now!! Beat them at their game: Wait a few more weeks (or months, even) and you will get the pin way below cost!

The woman speaks the truth!

Also, I'm still waiting on a few responses from inquiries I received yesterday. I may yet have a #1 and two #7 to trade/sell at cost.

Hang in there, fellow DIS members. We would not forsake you in your hour of need. Go ye not into the unchartered murk of auctiondom.

(Sorry about the weird quoting. I've never studied bible in English. I think I've missed something in this translation. ;) )

I just have a funny feeling that the Walt and Mickey pin is going to turn up again in the stores.

They were very persistant to say they are not collectibles, they are not limited - the door is left wide open to put as many of these pins out as they want.

Just my observation.

I don't think you'll get them below cost - maybe for cost since they are returnable for those that don't sell on Ebay.

Just check your stores periodically.

Yes, some may return them but I still think most of those hogged will be for sale on private and auction sites. I perceive that some people may have even stocked up on many of them, thinking that they are returnable items anyway.

Darlene, I agree with you. Heck, there are so many DS around the States and the same pins are being sold in DSs around the world. These pins aren't so limited that they granted what we saw this wekend, leaving many local collectors without the chance to get some.

I was recently able to buy an older gallery pin (the Mickey with guns), for just $1.00! Bottomline is, guys, don't pay over cost for any of the pins you are missing!! It is the only way to take action against people who do what they did this weekend.
