In general I don't think a scary costume at a "Not So Scary" party designed for small children is appropriate or polite. Consider the impact you might have on those around you and whether it's worth it.
I'm pretty sure that the party, as is all of WDW, is designed for EVERYONE - not just kids. Or should I not go trick or treating as an adult?

by any means, go and trick or threat BUT do not forget it is Not So Scary Party , it is not meant to be scary, there are kids around. Otherwise go to Universal, no little kids there.
So is a zombie scary? I've seen them at the party. Is a vampire scary? I've seen them at the party. Are pirate ghosts scary? I've seen them at the party.
My point being that one person's definition of scary is not the same as another. No, I don't want to see people running around with bloody chainsaws and fake brains hanging out of their head but I have seen kids scared by zombies, vampires and ghosts. If MNSSHP is truly meant to not be "scary" then the CMs at the gate should NOT allow those types of costumes since kids can be scared by them.
Got It?depends on how realistic they are, yes they can be very scary and they can be just spooky. While everyone has his own fears, we are talking about what generally considered scary . lets put it this way, there is a huge difference between Nightmare on the Elm Street and Hocus Pocus. BTW, who said CMs do not turn people at the gate.
Nemo doesn't even come to my mind when I see that LOL, I was thinking it looked more like a naughty piece of candy corn.
naughty candy corn is how I feel every nov 1st after overindulging in dcs' candy
