Hi. I was supposed to go to MVMCP on December 9th, but can't make it. The ticket is non-refundable. I thought it would be nice if I could donate it to some good cause. (At Lincoln Center, if you can't make a performance, you can donate the ticket back.) I emailed Disney Corporate Citizenship dept, but have not heard back. Does anyone have a suggestion?

That's very nice of you to want to put your ticket to good use. You might have better luck paying it forward right here on the DIS. Ask if there is someone in need of a ticket and extend it to them yourself.
If you are still taking your trip, you could also try giving it away at your resort or within one of the parks.

First, I'd call and very nicely explain your situation.
Many dozens of posts from guests who DID get refunds on these tickets.

Do you think Make a Wish would mind that it is only one ticket? I thought a sick
child would need a grown-up to accompany them.

You can always call Disney and ask for a refund. Then, you can donate the money to Make a Wish or Give Kids the World Village in Orlando.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to donate or get a refund since the ticket was not on my credit card.

You could mail it off to Give Kids The World in Orlando.

The plans for the Wish families for December 9th are probably taken care of but they may be able to check if a family could use a ticket if they were planning to pay out of pocket for the Party.

The difficulty is that I am not in possession of the physical ticket. A family member ordered it, I paid her for it, and we had a falling out. Disney can see the ticket on My Disney Experience, but they can't send me a new one because it is not on my credit card.

You can give the Entitlement away if you reassign it to someone who is listed or linked to your MDE.

Example: You link Santa's MDE to yours. Reassign the ticket entitlement to Santa and he can enter the Party by using a MB linked to him.

As soon as you resssign the entitlement, it voids out the plastic ticket, if there had been a plastic ticket, and Santa enters the park by using the MB.

Your heart is in the right place letting someone else use the ticket that you can't use. I would be a little worried because it's a falling out that when they see the ticket reassigned the person who purchased it decided to try to get it refunded or reassign to someone else. Since they paid, they can see it.

My only suggestion so it's not a complete loss is maybe there is a neutral person that can speak to them on your behalf to call, get it refunded and return your money.

Good luck.

If @toodycat unlinks herself from the other MDE, she can reassign the entitlement and no one in the other MDE will know. toodycat manages her own MDE; no one else can alter her data even if they were the ticket purchaser.

They can call up and try to get the ticket refunded as the purchaser.

But if the entitlement was never linked in the MDE that they manage and Disney has confirmed it's linked to @toodycat's MDE, Disney can't authorize a refund.

Disney CMs ask for MDE login ID even when ADRs are canceled by phone.

I am pretty sure the purchaser of the ticket would not try to double dip. I just hate for something so spectacular to go to waste. Honestly, if I could give it to a charity for kids, I would be willing to buy another ticket for a parent or guardian as well.
