Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House

Walking in it smelled SO sweet. The food was good to. The physical environment was a cramped, but we still got to see and have pics with each character. This is the only Character meal that has Daisy!

went in November--really good variety of food and good character interaction. We were two adults and they were attentive to us too. They had a little game for the kids--it was cute to see. they take your picture at the beginning -- you can have it added to your photopass if you buy the photo and stop by the camera store at the front entrance of AK on your way out.

We went in Sept (kids are 5 & 6 ). DH is not a huge breakfast fan...despises eggs. :crazy2: All that being said we all LOVED it. We thought the food was excellent..TONS of choices (healthy & non-healthy). The coffee was excellent and the juice was soooo yummy. The service was great. The characters were definately 'rushed'. Mickey literally ran to our table, signed his name, snapped a picture, than ran to the next! We are definately doing this next year. Big breakfast here...spend the day in the park..then Flame Tree BBQ for a late lunch/early dinner. :thumbsup2

I am so glad to hear all the wonderful review about this breakfast. We are doing this on our first day. We have done many character meals before and we were looking for something different, plus the one character that both my DDs want to meet is Daisy, so we couldn't pass it up.

We ate bkfst there last March on our 9 day trip, and it was one of the best meals we had!:cheer2: We are planning on going back in July!

We were just there a few weeks ago. It's always DH's and DD's favorite character meal. Like it better than Chef Mickey's. The food is great. Characters are great. We have gone the last 2 years and it's a must for a future trips.

Glad to hear the great reviews. We have an ADR for our next trip.

We always loved Donald's Breakfastosaurus and were a little sad when it closed. It was one of our favorite character meals. But it sounds like the crew just moved over to the Tusker House. Great.

Have fun,

You'll love this breakfast. We were just there on Tuesday and it was great. A huge variety of food choices.....almost everything you could think of for breakfast. I can't imagine anyone going hungry here, the variety is that good. And the juice is out of this world (even my hugely selective 13-year-old fell in love with it, and he generally turns his nose up at anything new).

We had a great time with the characters. There was no "rushed" feeling at all. In fact, I wore my Daisy Duck sweatshirt to the breakfast, and Donald made a huge fuss over it (kept planting big noisy kisses on my cheek  , acting like his heart was going to jump out of his chest, etc.). They were all very entertaining, accomodating, and fun.

Funnily enough, what my son didn't like about the experience was the style of the building. He couldn't understand why Disney "would want a restaurant to look that bad". My city-born-and-raised boy had NO idea what the real Africa looks like. So it was an eye opener for him to see how the other half lives!

All in all, its a great meal and the kids have lots of fun doing the parade around the restaurant. Good food, fun, and entertaining too!

glad to hear all the great reviews here, we loved the old breakfast and hope we like this one as much

We also enjoyed our meal there last April. We'll be booking it again tomorrow. :)

We had breakfast there in November of 07. It was pretty new at that time. It was Fantastic. We walked in anticipating great pictures with Goofy. As soon as I turned on the camera, the batteries died. :sad1: We were there early so nothing was open. The hostess or one of the CMs heard my story and scoured the park for anyone who was willing to open their kiosk early for me. She found one stand and got us batteries.:thumbsup2 They were the most expensive batteries I have ever bought, but well worth it considering where we were.
Oh yeah, I thought the food was great and the atmosphere was too. I love going into a park before the official opening. This trip I'll be sure to have extra batteries every time we go out. Good luck and have fun.
