Donald's Safari Bkfast ... would you go back???

For those of you who have been recently, does Donald sign autographs at all? Or will we still have to track him down in the parks even though we're going to his breakfast?

Donald won't sign your autograph book outside, purely for time constraints, because they have to take so many pics with so many people, but he WILL sign it after he comes inside to mingle.

We have been there 3 times for breakfast, and each time we only had to wait 5-10 minutes to be seated, and our trips were late May and early June. I think the key to any of the in-park character breakfasts is to make the very first available reservation in the morning, and to go on a non-EMH morning. If you do that, you can make a reservation for about an hour before the park actually opens. Each time, we have been able to get in, have breakfast, see all the characters and be among the first in line for the Safari ride because we were all the way in the back of the park for rope drop! Early morning touring is very important, IMO, so I rarely plan a breakfast that takes time away from that!

We did do this exact thing and did not get into our breakfast until 11:00 A.M. with an 9:40 seating scheduled. Its good you had this experience because we did not. Ours was mid June though and the park opened at 9:00 A.M.

I actually thought the food was pretty good at Tusker House. The food at Chef Mickey's was really bad imo. We did several character meals at wdw and I've done them at disneyland and the interaction always seems about the same. There have been a few wonderful exceptions!

When we were there in sept donald did not come inside and sign books or take photos, he was only outside. My only complaint is that its kind of dark in the dining room and a bit cramped for picture taking. But, I'm fairly assertive and have found that if I give a bit of thought to where I want them to stand so we end up with few/no strangers in our photos and away from the dirty plates our pix come out really good! I just politely ask the character if we can move away a bit and they're always quite accommodating.

btw: if I was not seated until an hour and a half after my ressie I would be definitely speaking with the management. That is ridiculous. I would request some front of the line passes or something for taking up so much of our valuable time at the very least.

Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom will begin serving a character lunch as of December 4, 2011.
