Hello Team!
Please Welcome my friend Augie to the DDD's!

The wise and wonderful Panda has let my friend
Augie (ahoff) join the DDD's:thumbsup2
I think he will make a great addition to our team:goodvibes
He's a really cool guy from NY and I think he'll
have a lot of fun with us:banana:

Vic,

Keeping with my being late, here are my numbers.

15 miles in 120 minutes

Bill

Hi everyone! And thanks for the introduction, Liz. I guess I am with the cool kids now?

Anyway, I am a casual runner, I will contribute only around 10 miles a week towards this. But I bike a lot, so expect around 100 miles a week from that. Just this past weekend I rode 20 on Sunday and 40 on Monday.

Hope everyone has a good week!

Hey Augie:yay:

See... riding your bike to work pays off ;)

Don't forget that races/events count double :thumbsup2

I'm glad you joined the cool kids club :cool2:

Welcome the the Triple D's Augie  Glad to have you on our team!

Just popping in to say hi to the triple DDDs and to congratulate Bryan on his super-fast walking pace! (Yeah, I lurk on the Walkers thread.) Congratulations on making such....wait for it....strides in your walks. :lmao:

To the rest of the DDDs: Aren't you glad you don't need to put up with my puns on a regular basis?

:welcome: Augie. We look forward to getting to know you better over the coming months.

Debra Thank you very much for the kind words. I am really trying to augment my training while still keeping my strength and miles up.

Team This week is going to be a pretty big week for me so I am hoping to be able to finish the month off really strong.

Here it is in the middle of the week. We can't do anything about the past but we can have an effect on the future. Let's make it GREAT!!! Go TEAM!!!:woohoo: :yay:

Hey guys, I thought I would be on time for once!

Minutes for the week (running + core): 222
Miles for the week (running): 12.8

I really didn't want to go out today - I haven't gotten enough sleep for the past couple of nights, and I spent way too long at the hospital today getting some tests done for my daughter (that @#$%*^ insurance company - it took about an hour to get through to them). Anyway, I thought of all of you and how well I've been doing lately and made it out for an easy 3.5 miles! Of course I felt much better afterwards.

Hope everyone had a great week! (and check out my new blog in my siggie :) - I plan to post a new entry tomorrow)

Just a quick post of my hours/miles for this week.
335 minutes
14 miles
The miles were all walking/running. The minutes were a combination of the walking, plus cross training of Step, Power Sculpting, BasicTraining, etc.

Hello everyone! First attempt at posting mileage here, hope I get it right. Is there a time frame that we work with, such as Sun - Sat? That is what this is, from Sunday the 25th thru Sat the 31st. I have to work at a second job tomorrow, and will not be doing any runnig or biking so submitting it now.

So I ran twice, 3 miles each time, for a total of 6 miles and a time of 50 minutes. I biked every day, for a total of 160 miles, and a total time of 10 hours. As Liz mentioned, I bike to work almost every day, which is a 25 mile round trip.

This coming Sunday I am going to ride in the Bike-Boat-Bike, an annual event put on by a local bike club here. This will be the eighth time I will be doing it. The route I do is the 65 mile one, which goes out almost to the end of the north fork of LI, then ferry over to Shelter Island, and then ferry over to the south fork to head back. Someone mentioned races and events are double miles?

Have a great weekend!

Was going to post total for the week, but I see the spreadsheet extends this week through May 31. So I'll hold off.

Ahoff...I know racing is double miles...not sure about "events", but maybe so.

Big Vic, can we get a ruling, because I am doing a charity bike ride tomorrow...as far as I'm concerned, it's just a training ride, but since I paid money to register and will be out there with several hundred other riders, maybe it does count double? :confused3

I haven't been posting much, and don't even feel like writing RRs for my last 2 triathlons. Just in a funk. About to end a relationship, which needs to happen, but that doesn't mean I am not sad about it. Haven't been eating well. Sleeping ok. Still getting in most of my workouts, though it sure is hot around here. Going to get up to high 90s tomorrow, so I had better get my ride done as fast as I can. Sorry... :( send some hugs...

  Ending a relationship is difficult, even when it's the best thing to do. Take one day at a time, breathe.....and work out.

I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time) but I believe totals are based on a Friday- Thursday. Friday being the start of the new week. It did start out that way, but I could've missed a change. IMO, as long as you consistantly use the same standard, then it's all the same in the end.
As far as double miles for races and events other than running, I'll let our wonderful Captin Vic weigh in on that.

Love having a biker on our team, the miles really add up. hehehe
I haven't done much biking in the past two years, but Dh and I used to bike ....a lot. Many MS 150's and several Bike Across Kansas, plus many weekend trips. I do miss it, but I found I couldn't tolerate the heat as well as I (cough, cough)matured. :rotfl: Still, if the wind ever dies down around here, I'm ready to pull by bike down to see if I can still do a few training miles.:goodvibes

Good morning Triple D's!

Augie - A belated :welcome:

Betsy - Hope you're doing ok.

From what I understand, any race counts as double. I will get a final ruling from the Panda.

Everyone - You are all doing great! Keep it up!!!

:)

***Update*** Any racing mileage counts double.
