Carissa- I wish I had a better excuse..I have a very good quality TM in my dining room - just have been worn out from the snow! I'll be on it today. As for the weight loss- I've been following a weight loss plan with my doctor. (Thanks, I still have 70+ to go, but it's been a great boost with running combined) I started both within 2 weeks of the other...
Good luck on your Virtual 5k today- you're doing great sticking with the C25k -it's how many people start..it's a great program.
I'm losing weight slow and steady. I've really tried to be more aware with my calories, which I never have before. I always thought as long as I was eating healthy I'd be okay. Now I realize I really need to keep an eye on the calories. I'm looking forward to having less weight to carry around!
I'm done with my Virtual Vday 5K! Time: 34:10. Which I am actually quite happy with considering I've only run twice since the Disney Half!
I'll catch up on posts later...But...
Happy Valentine's Day Ducks!![]()
WTG girl!

I just finished my 5K and am sitting here extremely sweaty!

Before today, my longest distance was barely 2 miles so running 3.1 was a big stretch for me. The most total running time I'd had during a workout was 9 minutes (if you add up all of my intervals) and I'm pretty sure I doubled that today.

I did include my warm up in my 5K time because I knew I couldn't maintain a 1:1 ratio throughout the entire distance. The first mile was great. Lots of energy and feeling good. The second mile was the hardest. I started feeling tired from probably going too hard in the first mile. The third mile wasn't too bad because I slowed my pace a little and knew I was almost done. I even revved it up for the final couple of minutes. I was excited and surprised that I was able to continue with the run intervals until the very end. I did have to add in a few extra walks, but I'm really happy with how I did.

So............
My time was 48:32. I'm pretty happy with that.
