What time do they start serving? The character buffet? How early can you get a PS for?If you have done this breakfast, how did you and yours think of it?Is it worth the $16.00+ you pay for it?Iwould appreciate you information and comments. :teeth:

Could you move this thread to correct board. Sorry

I believe they start breakfast at around 8am...It is well worth the money...You can find alot of the characters there also like mickey,
pluto, goofy and donald of course...My family and I really enjoyed it...
:Pinkbounc :bounce:

The earliest seating is 8:10, or at least it was when we went last August. We were disappointed in this meal. We felt incredibly rushed and stressed there. Our waiter shouted orders at us as soon as he picked us up at the gate...think General Knowledge in Cranium Command. We couldnt wait to get out of there. The food was good, but again it may have been great under better circumstances.
I much prefer Chef Mickeys where you can eat when you want and not have to make an appointment with the characters.

not sure what their "official" opening time is but it is linked to the opening time of the park...we have eaten there anywhere from 1/2 to 1 full hour prior to park opening...
as far as if it's worth it...i think that is probably the best character breakfast available...great food and good interaction with the characters...i thought the service there was great each time we have visited...break fas here has become a must do for our family each time we visit the world....
have a great time....

Arielfan and CamColt for the information and your opinions.I will let wife read your comments and let her make the call on to book it or not, that said I don't like to be rushed, she is interested in trying though. If it will make her happy I will do it.

Sunking did not see your post when I said thanks to other posters.I appreciate you taking the time to post.DW sounds like she will love it if she does that will make me happy.:sunny:

Sounds like this breakfast gets many mixed reviews. We ate there 2 years ago. The food was OK- nothing wonderful- a meal. The characters were OK- more interaction than at a few others we ate at. Mickey didn't stay at the table long, but the rest spent adequate time with us- didn't feel rushed. We have not decided if we want to book this breakfast for our upcoming trip or not- we'll wait and see!
Good luck deciding!

We ate there 2 weeks ago and did not like it at all. We were very rushed and the food was horrible. I will do Chef Mickey's next time.

We love this breakfast!! It's our favorite character meal. We have been here twice, and we've never felt rushed. And we found the character interaction to be very good. Plus, we just like the whole atmosphere here. It's set up like a camp at an archeological digsite, so it's very relaxed. Maybe it's psychological, because I think the food is the same as at any WDW breakfast buffet, but it seemed to taste better here in the camp setting!

Had a great time at this character meal! My boyfriend and I did one of those early seatings where you get taken through the park and did not feel rushed at all. The food was good and varied, and we enjoyed the character interaction. The only downside I can think of is that we left so stuffed that we were dragging ourselves around the park afterward! :p

This is one of my favorite character breakfasts! We had an early seating and a wonderful server. We had a seat in the airstream camper and that was pretty cool as well. The food was good and you can get Krispie Creams at this buffet as well. All of this adds up to a very enjoyable breakfast!

My son loved this breakfast and got to see his favorite characters all in one place. We weren't rushed, in fact we waited a little extra for our waiter. We had made an early reservation before the park had opened. However, they must have had an early admission day because the line was LONG at 745!! We went down front were we thought there would be people waiting to bring us to the restaurant. However, there were no breakfast people at all. One of the CM in guest services let us go in front of the line (I am sure we got a lot of cursing) and we made our 810 reservation. It sure was mobbed! I had the impression that it was quiet in the park at that time. Be forewarned....If you buy the picture package it will be like a 100.00 breakfast. Have fun!!

We do this breakfast almost every trip, probably about 7 times. The food is good, I think a bit better than the average WDW breakfasts (but our favorite is Crystal Palace at MK). There is plenty of variety including bacon, sausage, home fries, choc chip pancakes, scrambled eggs, etc. Then a bar of cereals, bagels, breads, and fruit. Pretty much something for everyone. I always get an omelet made to order, they are always delicious.

The servers can be outstanding here, they like to mix in some fun with the service, which we like.

The characters make the usual rounds, usually spending as much time as you need to get all of your pictures.

We usually go for a late breakfast seating, around 10-10:30.

This is my 14 DS favorite breakfast or character meal and the families 2nd favorite (the rest of us give a small edge to Crystal Palace).

We've never been rushed by our server. The food has always been very good. The made to order omletes are wonderful.
We've always had planty of character time. Mickey even came right back to our table when I saw on my camera (a digital) that a pic didn't come out well.
I much prefer Chef Mickeys where you can eat when you want and not have to make an appointment with the characters.

They come around to table just like every other character meal I've been to. Who stopped you from eating when you wanted to?

We ate there in July last year. DBF had a fab time, even though he is 35!!! Food was lovely and hot and there was a good selection. Character interaction was superb, only character that we didn't see at least twice was Donald and we caught him on our way out. Server was funny and very attentive. Will be back during our trip in October.

When we arrived to the restaurant for the first seating our waiter(again in the General Knowledge voice) told us we could either go to the buffet or sit and wait for the characters. Since there was no line whatsoever at the buffet we figured we would get food, then sit and eat while the characters came around. We were a party of 7, some of us had 1 or 2 items on our plate, others had none when we were screamed at " "Smith" party get back to your table!!! Donald is at your table!!!". This yelling continued as we tried frantically to get back but by then other characters were out taking pictures with other parties so it was difficult to manuver our way back. Our waiter saw us trying, but he continued to yell at us. We were so stressed we all left my poor 2yo up at the buffet, LOL! Once we made it back for Donald we were told we had to sit and wait for all the characters to come around.
In fairness I want to say they were maybe just having a bad day and were running late because even though we arrived early like we should have for our 8:10 PS, we werent taken to the restaurant until much later and maybe they were trying to make up for being late...but it made it very stressful on us.
Also, as for the food being the same...I was disappointed in 1 item. I was looking forward to the breakfast pizza thinking it would be the same thing they have at Chef Mickeys, but it wasnt. It was covered with red and green things(Im assuming peppers???). DS and I are big fans of the plain kind.

while on our honeymoon last september, DH and i had made plans for only one character breakfast. after hearing so many wonderful reviews of chef mickey's, we chose to have our very first character meal there. it was fun...but i didn't enjoy myself nearly as much as i thought i would. :(

later in the week, we had planned on visiting AK. we got there and were very early. (i had gotten the opening time wrong) we were starving, but didn't want to leave...and we noticed the line for donald's PS people...we decided to try our luck and were able to get right in. we had a wonderful server, Neil. we got to go through the park before it opened up to everyone else...our server made us wait to hit the buffet though. we were the first section for the character's visits...so we waited for all of the characters to go through and the interaction was wonderful!! our server kept us entertained as we waited...after the characters went through, we were able to hit the buffet. the food was excellant!

we thoroughly enjoyed this character meal! and wouldn't hesitate to do it again! :)

We also had Neil as our server in August 2002. He's very funny. Just DH and I but still had great character interaction especially as Don wore his Donald shirt. Mickey didn't like it, but Donald loved it! We had a late PS, and found the food plentiful and tasty.

Question for those of you who have been there.

We are planning this breakfast because Pluto is listed as a regular. My son's fav. next to Buzz! I know they never guarantee any particular character, but I'd love to here your experiences. So, have you seen Pluto at Breakfastasaurus?

We planned a late seating time on early entery day. Tour then eat.
Thanks
Tammy
