Donald's breakfastsaurus

I made an 8:10 ps for February 20th. We all love the character meals. DD-15, DS-5, DH and I. Can't wait!

I'm sooooo glad to see the positive things said about this breakfast. I have a ps for Mrach 21 at 9:30. I get to come in early get a few rides in then off to breakfast with Donald. My son will love it!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :D

My dd is 6 and my ds will be almost 4 - how are the CMs with kids that age? DD loves every character she ever met, DS is frightened of them

But it sounds like a fun meal and it would be neat to get in to AK a little early.

Though our kids are a bit older than yours (DD 8 and DS 6) the CM's at breakfastosaurus are great, as usual. I'm sorry but I have to disagree that it's geared more toward one particular age group.

You will love it.

Hope I did't mislead anyone with the breakfastsarus being geared toward older kids observation. The characters and staff were wonderful with all ages. What I meant was that the interaction between the characters and the older kids was better here than anywhere else we have done Character meals. At many resturants the characters would pat my DS on the head or offer more hugs than a 9 year old boy wanted. At donalds he got lots of high-5's and Mickey trying to eat his breakfast and Donald picking on his mom. There were two little girls at the table next to us on our last trip and the characters were just as wonderful with them just in a different way. We have NO negatives at all about our favorite Character breakfast. Sorry to mislead anyone.

Thanks for explaining, Jordan's mom. I do know what you mean. I have noticed in several trips of taking babies/small children to WDW that some CMs really seek out the little ones. Dd got less attention at 4 then she did at 15 months in some cases

The breakfastasaurus would be something new for us, so maybe I can talk dh into it. ;)

I just had to add my positive comments as well. My boys are 13 and 10 and they absolutely love this breakfast. It is a "must-do" on every trip!! We will be there on March 16th at 8:10am and we cannot wait!!!

I wanted to add...we had a birthday surprise at restrautasaurus for my DH (34). I told the CM when I made the ressie's and they totally blew him away. The characters all signed a card for him and sang. It was a great moment.

We'll be there on Wed. March 26, for the 9:30 PS.......4 adults, 3 children. If the park opens at 9 am, would we have time to enjoy one of the attractions before checking in or should we just head straight to breakfast and hope for a quick seating?

Scran, it might be tough. If you are first in line and speed walk to Dinosaur or something else over there nearby Donald's, you might be able to. But you'll really have to make a quick beeline right over there. If you're not up there in the front of the line at opening time, I doubt you'll make it. There is a line for Donald's Breakfast only but since your PS is at 9:30 I doubt they'll let you in early through that line. Wouldn't hurt to ask one of the Cast Members if you should be in the special line for Donald's Breakfast. They might let you in early.

Thanks for the good advice. I'm sure we'll be there by 9 when the park opens......we'll just enjoy the atmosphere as we stroll over to breakfast. This will be our 4th day so I'm sure the boys will be a little less enthusiastic. How long does this breakfast take.....30 45 minutes? Not that it's a big deal but always curious. The kids are obviously not big eaters (5 1/2, 3 1/2, 21 months) so they won't take long to fill up.

Not that I think your saying you're in a rush, but definitely take your time here.

Sometimes I find that I am always trying to move on to the next thing (because there is so much to do) that I forget to enjoy where I am.

DH and I when we were there in Dec. decided to sit awhile and enjoy our coffee before rushing up to the buffet. The kids were just having so much fun watching the characters and taking it all in, they were fine with this too. Also, I think because we stayed a bit longer than some of the others in our section, we had a lot of empty tables nearby...so when the characters came back around we got some better attention.

hi all, we are going to be at Disney May 2-9 and was wondering we are 2 adults no kids, would we look ridiculous going to a character breakfast? we would love to go to one but we dont want to feel weird.
thanks,misty

Are there any seating requests we should make? I know CM has different seating areas and so does the Epcot princess breakfast. Any ideas? Thanks!

We always eat at character meals - and especially Donald's - and I haven't been to WDW with a child for the last 8 years. The characters at Donald's in December spent more time with us than the table with the kids!! Besides, we are all kids once we step food on Disney property!

As far as seating at Donald's, the first group in sits (the people with early PS's) sit in one section - - the characters will stay in that section. Then 15 minutes later, another section is seated and the characters will go over to that second section. So, depending on what time your PS is will decide where you sit. If you get one of the early first PS's, then don't rush up to the breakfast buffet, sit there with your drinks (that will come so quick you just won't believe it) and enjoy the characters - - they will be all over you.

Those of you who have been......what is the last breakfast seating?

I don't remember the time of the last seating, but I think they start taking the buffet down about 10:15 to get ready for the lunch crowd...no Characters, just counter service.

Definately ask for Lisa. She is a hoot!!!

I like it because large parties are no problem. Our first visit we had 10 adults, a 2yo and 2 infants. Last month we had 4 adults, one infant and 5 kids 14 to 2. Both times we were all at one big table. (At other CB we were split into two tables.)The kids loved it. The older kids said with glee "I love every food here! I don't know what to choose". They loved it when I said take some of everything! Definitely on our list for the November trip. We did an early PS on early entry day.

Hi Nanajo1! I'm originally from Chelmsford! Small world! I'm glad to hear that you had good luck with a large party, I'm trying to get the rest of my family interested in a character meal. We went to this breakfast last October and had a great time (DH & DS's 3 &18mos). The interaction with the characters was great, my 3 yr old was a little shy but Pluto really drew him out! And they had the best bacon there that I've ever had in a restaurant. Can't wait until this October!
