Has anyone ate at the Donald's breakfast at Animal Kingdom. First time going to Disney and was just curious if the food was ok.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Melanie

It's a breakfast buffet so they have a lot of things. You can check out their menu on allears.com We have eaten there twice and it was very good both times.

Ate there last year, had an 0830 ADR. Food was good, fresh, and plentiful. Great choice and great server

Donald's is a staple for us. We go almost every trip. The hot food is wonderful, including biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, bacon, everything you can imagine. The pastries are to die for and there is lots of fresh fruit. And there is always the character interaction. While there are no guarantees, I can almost bet you will have fun!

We also try to go to Donald's every trip. The character interaction is great & so is the food. After this breakfast, we don't have lunch. We might have a light mid-afternoon snack but we're never very hungry until dinner. good food & good fun at Donald's!

The food is standard fare breakfast buffet ... pretty good but nothing spectacular. 2 of my kids are very picky and they were happy with fruit, yogurt and cereal. Good "hot" buffet for adults ..

The character interaction, however, was fantastic. We saw all characters 2-3 times. We were there for my mom's 60th b-day and the server made a big deal of it and got Goofy to come over while we sang happy birthday -- they danced and played around. It was wonderful!!! Our server (Billy) was great!!!
Another thing I liked was that it is not crowded between tables like other character meals.
All in all, a surprisingly fun last-minute meal for us!!

We ate there a few weeks ago, for the first time. We really enjoyed it. We had 8:30 ADRs which was nice because we got in the park early and took the long walk back to Dinoland :) The breakfast buffets had a great selection (even for my DDs who are allergic to tree nuts). There is a cold buffet with yogurt, pastires, fresh fruit, cereals, bagels etc. The hot buffet had eggs, bacon, sausage, choc chip pancakes (yum), french toast, quiche (yum), apple cobbler (yum!)

We really enjoyed the interaction and our waiter was hysterical. He kept playing practical jokes on my DD7.

It was also nice to be out and about in Dinoland by 9:15. It was absolutely empty. We rode the Triceretops Spin way too many times. We got FPs for Safari, for later and then went and did Everest.

Went there in July '04. Food was good, but standard breakfast fare, eggs, bacon, biscuits, etc. It was hot too, though I know some people said it wasn't for them. My nephew particularly like the doughnuts. Had about 4 or 5 of them. Character interaction would've been fine, but 13yo wasn't toooo into it. Saw them interacting well with those around us. Wouldn't mind doing it again.

Cheers!

We have been there before and liked the food. There were several options for us and we were able to find enough variety to satisify everyone.

We have 8AM ADR's to Donald's this coming trip. I'm really looking forward to it. I've heard a lot of good things about it.

Thank you for all your post. I'm going to call now for reservations.

Can't wait just paid off our trip last night. Counting down till April.

The food is good and enough to choose from...

I do love this one but would like to see more then 4 characters running around. That could be the only thing I would like to see changed... for the rest, enjoy your breakfast...

We went last May and enjoyed it. The food was good, average buffet stuff. I'm not a breakfast person at all, but I enjoyed the food-- especially the breakfast pizza! If I recall there was sausage gravy as well, which is my favorite. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't grandma's!

The character interaction was great, however, and the most memorable moment of the meal. They all spent a lot of time at our table (4 adults) and were great at playing around and "chatting" with us.

Oh, and our first photo turned out horrible so they were nice enough to retake the photo after we were done eating and we picked it up at Guest Relations later in the day.

We also really enjoyed Donald's. The food was excellent - fresh and hot. The characters were great. But the best part was our waiter who was so funny and played a lot of practical jokes on us, making my boys laugh so hard. His name was Neil, and you should definitely ask to be seated in his section. He made it one of the best meals of our trip. The boys still talk about him.
