Donald Safari breakfast question?

Hi,

Dining at Tusker house for Donald's Safari breakfast. DD is dying to try breakfast pizza. Does anyone know if it's served. I don't see it on the menu. She wants to go to Chef Mickey's for breakfast just for this, but we've been there and done that for dinner many times. I'd like to see Mickey in his safari gear. If not at Tusker house, do any of the counter services have breakfast pizza????

I dont recall seeing there in Sept. The buffet is very extensive and very good. I dont know if I have seen it at any of the character breakfasts we have been to.

I think Crystal Palace also serves it. It's limited to only those two restaurants.

Here's the recipe from one of the Chef Mickey cookbooks:

Breakfast Pizza
from Chef Mickey's, Contemporary Resort

1 12" Boboli
2 large eggs
1/2 cup coarsely shredded/grated mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup coarsely shredded/grated Provolone cheese
1 cup coarsely shredded/grated Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper to taste



Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place Boboli on baking sheet.

In a medium bowl blend the cheeses together.

In a small bowl, beat the eggs, heavy cream, salt and pepper. Mix well and add to cheese mixture. Immediately (to avoid clumping), pour mixture onto the pizza shell.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese mixture is set and is beginning to brown.

Cut into pizza wedges.

I didnt see it either in Sept. I know I saw it at Chef Mickey's.... well I am pretty sure I did!

We were just there 2 weeks ago and they DO NOT have the breakfast pizza. We were quite disappointed because we loved it. We did not like TH at all. It was a big disappointment for us because we loved the old buffet. It was a tradition for us to have breakfast at AK for many, many years but that has now changed, we won't eat there again. At least not for breakfast.

We also did the CM breakfast for the first time and we loved it. Breakfast was better than the dinner buffet. They did have a delicious breakfast pizza as well as a PB&J pizza that was delicious.

Its not a character breakfast, but Pizzafari at AK has breakfast pizza. Maybe you could schedule a different character meal, and have the lighter breakfast on you AK day.

I could have sworn it was there last week. I must have had buffet overload. But it is at Crystal Palace, too, for sure.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I actually made breakfast pizza for supper last night and she loved it. Although, when I asked her about it, it was the one with peanutbutter and jelly that she wanted.

I think I'll keep the Tusker House ADR. She's been to Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace many times. This will be a new experience and possibly if we have a second day at AK we'll try the breakfast pizza at Pizzafari.
