LOS ANGELES - It was a ducky day in Hollywood when cartoon character Donald Duck received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
A beaming Donald (actually someone in a duck costume) and Mickey Mouse were among those who attended the star's unveiling Monday on the sidewalk in front of the Walt Disney-owned El Capitan Theatre and Disney store in Hollywood.
"Donald particularly appreciates this," quipped Disney chief executive Michael Eisner. "Mickey isn't even jealous."
The feisty fowl made his debut in the 1934 Disney cartoon, "The Wise Little Hen." He began starring in his own cartoon vehicles in 1937.
