Not sure this is the right forum to ask this in, but since it involves food, thought I would start here. Years ago, we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and one night we ordered Domino's into the resort (it was the only pizza the kids would eat at the time). Turned out to be a really cheap way to feed a large group and they delivered right to the lobby. This year we were planning our Feb trip to BLT and I asked my son which place he wanted to go to for dinner and he told me that the most fun he ever had was when we had a "night in", ate dominos in the room and watched dvds. I wasn't sure that you could still do this -- has anyone had dominos delivered to their hotel recently? Don't recommend the room service pizza -- we have found that to be really overpriced and not worth the use of our dining credits.

So -- thoughts?

Thanks.

Lauren

Really? Well, then I guess my kids will be happy (can't say that I will be overjoyed but it does let us use a TS for a character breakfast instead of dinner). Thanks for the fast response.

thanks for the info! there are several nights we have "snack at resort" as we would have a "main" meal at lunch.:yay:

Whatever you do, don't order pizza from a flyer that is slid under your door. It is a credit card scam.

That's good to know, not so sure if my sensory child will go for the pop pizza--have to see what it looks like first, plus Domino's is a whole lot cheaper and if you buy one of the games from target on sale this week you get a coupon for a free medium pizza in the box :woohoo:
Giordono's is excellent pizza but if your kids are used to Domino's then they are going to turn their noses up at it it's deep dish/stuffed pizza at it's finest, think two to three inches thick and the pizza is built in "reverse" compared to national pizza chains--sauce is on top, not cheese-- plus it's expensive in comparison, I used to eat at the one in Chicago every business trip:) my company's headquarters were in chicago here's a pic of it

FWIW, Papa John's delivered to OKW in December 2007. IMO, not much better than Domino's, but my parents seemed to like it, so it worked. :confused3

BYC, which one would you recommend? we have eaten at giordano's in chicago and found it to be quite wonderful. also, i noticed a location(for giordano's) in orlando and lake buena vista--which one for on property resorts?:yay:

Sorry, but I don't know. I haven't ordered from them yet. But, we do plan a stay in-eat pizza night. We will probably decide then.

When you say pop pizza, I guess you mean POP century pizza? The 'peace of pizza' they make? I dont know if I've had a worst pizza. Although, I have yet to find a decent WDW made pizza. Almost making my stomach turn just thinking about them.. blech.

I generally detest both Dominos and Papa John's... but that stuff is gourmet compared to the WDW-made pizzas.

Are you serious?! We almost ordered from one on our trip back in August. It looked like a great deal and I had saved the flyer from our Dec trip. I'm talking about the one that offered a large pizza, a sub, and an appetizer for like $20! Can't remember the name of it.

We were soooo hungry and had spent the day with family at the beach. I ended up walking to the CBR food court and bringing something back to the room because I wasn't sure if we could stay awake long enough to wait for a delivery. We practically passed out while eating that night.
