Well here we were having lunch at THE LAND. There was Dom, Cynthia, her son Shawn (Sean?), Gary and Kathryn. We were all wearing our lanyards. Poor Shawn couldnt have a character pass our table without them grabbing his cap and patting him on the head. Each character would stop at our table shake the guys hands and kiss us girls on the hand. But before they left EVERONE of them had to scope out our lanyards.
First, Mickey stopped by, then Dale and Pluto. Did you ever notice that Pluto wears a dog tag that reads PLUTO, IF FOUND PLEASE RETURN TO MICKEY MOUSE?
Then Dale stopped by after the pleasantries Dale made a nose-dive across the table to snag Doms lanyard and bring it into clearer view. Dale started going squirrelly. Pointing to Boo and pointing to Dales left hand. Open and Close, Open and close went Dales paw as he pointed to his palm, indicating he wanted Dom to place Boo in Dales paw. So obligingly Dom removed the pin from his lanyard and placed it into Dales paw. Dale clutched the pin in his paw and danced a little jig. He then looked to Cynthia and pointed to the pin and then to his overalls several times. Boy none of us are any good at charades. We finally understood that Dale wanted to wear the pin. So Cynthia pinned Dale, with his new Boo. As Dom is wondering WHAT had just happened, Dale immediately scampered away with pin on his overalls. Getting his photo taken at the next table. We all joked with Dom that he had just be tricked out of a pin, just like in one fo the cartoons.
What a good sport Dom was as he said Ah it was just a pin from my kid lanyard anyway. Then Dom reached into his pack of refills and replaced it with a chip and dale pin.
Dale eventually returned. scamp that he was and offered to return Doms pin to him. Dom insisted that Dales keep his pin. Dales looked all over to find a pin and paper but instead disappeared into the kitchen and returned with a cook in hand. She says rather startled to Dom, Dale wants me to tell you Thank You And chip shook Doms hand again most vigorously. And this is just one of the reasons that Dom was awarded the CTT pin this week as well. So Dom, for all that you do. This CTT is for you! Thanks for your company, your friendship and all your help on the graphics side of our hobby.
