We have been upgraded from a Lake View to Resort View (with request for EPCOT view) for our stay at the Dolphin this Xmas/New Year. 
I contacted the Dolphin because when I originally booked our room there way back in January, it said on the spg website that it would be a 'newly renovated room' but as the renovation was put back, this is now not the case.
We WERE offered a transfer to a renovated room at the Swan, but as they are only on the lower floors at the moment, and we do love a good view, we declined the offer. We also love the Dolphin for it's easy proximity to the kids club, Tubbi's and just love the wonderful foyer so I asked if they could offer us anything at the Dolphin - hence the upgrade to Resort View.
So I won't get the Heavenly Bed I was expecting, but hopefully the view will make up for that!
