Dolphin Tours at HHI

Last summer, we went to HHI as a family. We did an in-shore fishing trip and had a blast! When we got back home, we added on points just so we can go there every other summer. Since we had a few points extra, my husband and I decided to spend our 20th anniversary there this summer. At first, I thought we might do the dolphin tour on Wednesday (our anniversary) and get the DVC discount (if Wednesday is still member day this year). But when I looked at the website, I see that Low Country Tours also does a Fireworks tour on Tuesday evenings. Has anyone done that tour? Is it romantic , or are you on the boat with others (including kids)? Would I be better off watching the fireworks from our balcony (or somewhere at the resort) on Tuesday night, doing the dolphin tour on Wednesday, and then going out somewhere nice to eat for our anniversary? Just needing advice from someone who has maybe done the tour. Also, when is the best time of day for the dolphin tour anyway?

We did the dolphin tour at the Disney resort. We were only there for a weekend, and I never got to go over the books about the island that really are everywhere. It would have been less expensive to do a Dolphin tour with another charter. There are coupons galore in the books.

However, it was a very nice tour, we were on a 1 PM tour in late October. We did see some Dolphins and learned some things about the history of the area. I really enjoy boat excursion, and it was a good one.
