If the dolphin swim just not show up online, does that mean it is sold out for our aug 13 west coast?

Has anyone ever gotten in at a later date?

We are concierge, in category 2's and 3's.

Thanks!

Susy

That is true. I had the same thing happen for our October cruise. Couldn't find it on line so I called DCL and they confirmed. If it doesn't show up, it is sold out...She did say to keep checking in case anyone cancels.

Has concierge ever been able to help someone get in?

Has anyone else ever gotten in late?

Seems like not many people would cancel this close to the date.

Thanks,

Susy

Our concierge seemed truly disappointed that we had done all our own ressies and there wasn't anything they could do for us. We were in a Cat. 1 and they offered us anything we wanted, so my assumption is that some slots are held. I'd try doing your own arrangements, as it sounds like you have a big group and even if the concierge has some space it may not be enough. Good luck.

I've been told that not all the available ressies, etc. are placed on the web site. The concierge "holds" a certain number till after the meeting (shortly after boarding), and if these are not used, they are then released to the general inventory. Also, a certain number are held back for people who may not know about or been able to get the booking on line.

So....there is a chance that the concierge can get it for you.

That would be awesome!!!

I had been away from the boards for awhile, and we didnt know there was a new online system for ressies and such. We would have paid early but realized too late - all the dolphin were gone, all the spa ressies on sea days, almost all the palo!

We have a big group: one category 2, four category 3's, two category 4's - hoping they can help us!

Thanks again,

Susy

If you are thinking of doing the dolphin swim in Nassau, you can just email the company directly and book through them. It is a little less expensive and you should be able to book. We were just there last week and when we showed up for the dolphin encounter they said they had two swim spots available if someone wanted to upgrade. Their website is www.dolphinencounter.com. Let us know if it works out!

That web link takes me to a site that has dolphin camp in the Honduras.

Is that the right one?

Thanks,

Susy

that place looks great!

thanks for the link, but we are on aug 13 west coast

We made ressies early for the Dolphin encounter (June 25th cruise) and it did sell out. I'm not sure about the concierge having available excursion ressies but I know for a fact that they hold stuff aboard the ship. We were in Cat 3 on the June 25th cruise and when we met with the concierge, she took us down a whole list of things (some we hadn't even known about) like the wine tastings, bridge tour, tea with Wendy, hair braiding, etc. We were able to switch our Palo time, the kids club representative came to us to give us the pager, and we basically named our times for the other events. I'm sure they will go out of their way to help you guys out...especially with so many of you at conciege level. But I do know that, even if you're not concierge, not all the shipboard ressies are released prior to the cruise because some people don't have (or use) online access and they'd really be left out otherwise!
