We are on the 7th August Eastern (7 days).

Normally this goes to St Maarten, but the stops have changed on this one, and instead we go to St Juan.

St Maarten has a dolphin swim - St Juan doesn't.

Having promised our children that they can swim with dolphins - we now have a problem !

We are staying at WDW before the cruise, but Discovery Cove is booked solid throughout July / August.

Any body got any ideas (apart from shooting myself !) ?

Are there any other dolphin swims in Florida (within a few hours drive of Orlando) ?

Please help

We stayed at Disney last Christmas and were also told that Discovery Cove was fully booked for the duration of our stay and that we could not book it from the UK. Upon arriving in Disney we were informed that Discovery Cove try to keep a few reservations open for guests who personally visit the cove reception and book but you have to do it at least 24 hours in advance, also quite a few bookings get cancelled 24-48 hours before.

My daughter and I took a trip there on Christmas day and were able to book for Boxing Day as they had just recieved a cancelation from a party of 8.

I cant guarentee you will get one, but it is well worth a try.
We had a fantastic day and the memories of swimming with these wonderful creatures will stay with us forever.

Good Luck and I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to hear about the dolphin swim - we are planning to do
Discovery cove in November. I just can't get out of my mind that the animals are probably taken care of better here. Good luck - my two sons are really looking forward to this part of our trip and I would hate to have to tell them sorry no can do.

Thanks for the replies - we'll certainly keep trying and fingers crossed for a cancellation.

Keep on trying the website.... it changes constantly. I had looked daily for 2 weeks, saw an opening - called the wife to confirm and lost it..... It took another week for an opening to come up. They don't have a waitlist or anything - I just put the link in as a favorite on my browser - and would call it up at least a couple of times a day.
