Dolphin/Swan Disney tickets question

When staying at the Swan/Dolphin I understand that you cannot use your room key to charge anything Disney like restaurants, souvenirs, etc.
My question concerns the admission to the theme parks. Is your room key also used as the park admissions like at the Disney resorts? Or must you purchase a separate ticket? If it is separate is it plastic or paper?
Just wondering because it real easy while at a Disney resort to use the plastic room key for park admissions.

They are separate from the room key and they are paper, at least that is all I saw last week.
Only disney resorts have the plastic looking ones.

they are separate, but we're used to that.

Since we're AP holders, we don't have our disney media on our plastic room card, either, even when stay at disney resorts.

Don't worry about it!
you'll have just as much fun having to carry an extra ticket and a credit card or cash.

I bought UPH at the Dolphin summer of 2002 and they were separate tickets (paper). We purchased them at the Disney desk in the Dolphin lobby.

Last summer, I decided to purchase Park Hoppers at the Disney Store before going. We saved a day on each of our PH for this year.

Yes, as others have stated, the UPH tickets are separate from your Swolphin room card and are bought at the Disney desk in either resort. You can knock the first/last or both days off of your UPH tickets if you wish, with no problems!

Where can you find out the prices of the UPH passes through the Dolphin. Are the prices the same as the Disney resorts?

Prices are the same as Disney resorts. They are sold by Disney. S/D are given the same basic considerations/services as Disney resorts except charging to your room and Mickey wake-up call.
