Does anyone know if there's a convention at the Dolphin Nov 1-3?

Called about 10 min ago for Oct 29-Nov 5, and it's completely sold out Nov 1-3. There is availability at the Swan, but I didn't get a room yet --with 2 yr-old, we don't want to chance standing-room-only busses at the Swan if there are really that many WDW-goers staying at the Dolphin (the bus stop before the Swan).

Thanks!!

Sorry its booked but there are so many other great resorts you guys should have a great time anyway.
FWIW, every Epcot resort bus I have been on stopped at the Swan before the Dolphin.

Thanks! You're right about the bus stops -- We've stayed there before, but I was confusing the YC/BC bus stop with S/D. Dolphin is before YC/BC, not Swan.

As far as other resorts, I completely agree there are other great choices. This time, however, we're being accompanied by older relatives with bad backs who won't consider anywhere that doesn't have Heavenly Beds.

go ahead and book. It's probably sold out to a convention and most convention goers don't even go to the parks during day hours.

Well, I got confirmation from Swolphin reservations that there is indeed a convention booked at Dolphin Nov 1-3.

The real kicker is that they base their rates on occupancy rate, so the rack rate at the Swan jumps from $209 on Oct 31 to $329 (yes, that is $329) on Nov 1-3. So they've outpriced us. Looks like we'll be staying at a Disney resort instead.

I understand supply & demand, but that's a little ridiculous.
