dolphin rooms redone?

We will be arriving at the Dolphin (for our very first stay) on Oct. 29 and I am wondering how much of the motel has been refurbished so far? Would love to have one of the new beds. We booked through hotwire for a great rate (80) so don't know if we can request anything.

Well first I must say...to call the Dolphin a motel ... to put it nicely, just extremely inaccurate!! -but if you've never been to WDW before you might not be familar of how much of a beautiful resort it is!! You will be spoiled silly!!! even if you're not in a renovated room. It'll be the nicest "motel" you've ever experienced!

I do recall seeing a post about a month ago that the rooms are renovated up to the 5th floor so I'm sure it's past that point by now.

Just for the record, this is one of our favorite resorts in WDW including all of the other WDW resorts and we have yet to stay in a renovated room! (we will be in 2 weeks at the Swan, can't wait!!)

You will be spoiled with the conveniences too. You can boat to MGM and EPCOT and the BW, YC/BC and of course the Swan are just a walk away. You'll be pampered!!

They are now working on the 7th floor at the Dolphin. Join spg for free and call the Dolphin directly to get your membership number on your reservation. After 1/1/04 you cannot get member benifits if booking through hotwire or priceline reservations. After that you will only get benifits if booked through starwood. Hi Muffy,

Just wondering... how often do they offer view upgrade? I just booked a standard view room at the Dolphin for our December trip (Dec 13-26). It would be great if we could upgrade to a better view.

It is based on availablity. Be sure to get your SPG membership number on your reservation.
