Does anyone know how far along the Dolphin Rooms are? I have read some posts where there is construction noise from room renovations. We are going in August :yay:

Thanks

Most rooms and floors have been renovated.
We were at the Dolphin in April 2007.
The lower floors (1-3) were still being worked on.

New rugs in the rooms and the hallways. The hallways also have new wall paper. No more beach scenes. The wall paper & hallway rugs have a suttle pattern better on your eyes.

The rooms also have new furniture - light wood tones.

The Heavenly beds and fluffy pillows are still in the rooms.

You will enjoy your stay.
Ask for an upper floor.

We never heard construction noide.
We were on the 8th floor - in the wing which faced the pool.

I'm going to the Dolphin for the second two weeks of September I've requested an upper floor - hope it will be done by them!

Earlier this month, the upper floors (7th, 8th & 9th) were being worked on (in both wings). The problem is they're not confining the renovations to one area at a time - they're spread out all over the place. Since the crews were working 7 days a week, hopefully it'll be done long before your stay. :confused3 We were on the 8th floor and heard construction noise - but only during the day!

We were there late April and did not see any work going on.

Our visit was more recent, June 1-5, and there was lots of work going on!! The room we ended up in #8184 (West Wing) must have been next on the list because it was looking a bit worn. (The 1st room we were given, 9th floor East Wing, was next door to a room undergoing renovation so we went back to the front desk and they had no problem moving us.)

I don't mean to alarm anyone because the on-going renovations didn't make our stay any less magical and it's really nice to see them taking such good care of that beautiful resort! :cloud9: I also think there's a good chance that most, if not all, of the work will be completed by August.
