Dolphin room question

What is the highest floor that has standard resort view room?

I am not sure of the highest, but we were on the 8th floor before, had a MGM resort view,( COMP. UPGRADE) but the rooms in the next wing had standard view.
If you are SPG member you will most likely recieve a comp upgrade to at least lakeview if avaiable. Do not be shy about inquiring at check in, just be polite, it never hurts to ask.
I love the Dolphin...you will enjoy your stay no matter what floor.

We were on the 8th floor as well, overlooking the lake and pool (SPG, and it was our honeymoon, so it was definitely an upgrade)

Be aware that the lobby (ground floor) is actually on the 3rd floor, so the 8th floor is really the 5th. That sounds strange, so let me put it this way: if your room is on the 1st or 2nd floor, you'll take the elevator DOWN.

Love the Dolphin, nobody beats that pool!!!!

Yes, definatly ask! We were Platinum SPG one year and recieved a Jr. Suite with CL privs and a great view as an upgrade. You will receive a one catagory room upgrade with Gold, if available. Be sure to show your SPG card when you checkin! Hope this helps! We LOVE the SWAN and the DOLPHIN!

We are SPG Gold, so we have always gotten at least 1 upgrade, but last time landed resort view, turn down service, awesome room...all over Christmas when the Dolphin was quite full. I agree, always ask, whatever your resort is!
You will be taken care of at the Dolphin/Swan...but as always, be nice=receive nice in life.

Thats good to know. I am SPG gold too and the room we have reserved right now is a King Resort View room so if I could get an upgrade that would be great. I will definately show my card and ask at checkin,thanks! If I did get one level up what would be the next best room?

I would think the next step up is CL (CLUB LEVEL) but not sure... I was gonna say an awesome view of Epcot/MGM, but you already have resort view booked so....
I am still a CL wanna-be... one day it will happen! Or if you are really lucky, a nice corner suite, sigh...and just think, you are earning points while you staym the gift that keeps on giving!

I actually don't think I'll be earning points this time because my whole stay is being redeemed from points I already have. Maybe they might just upgrade to a resort view with a balcony, that seems more likely than CL which seems pretttttty fancy!
