Dolphin Ressie Via Priceline - Can't Use

Hi,

I have a ressie at the Dolphin for July 23 for 3 nights that I made via Priceline for $69 a night & we've had an "issue" come up and can't go.

I know I can't cancel, but have any of you ever had any luck in changing the names on a priceline ressie so that the rooms could be used.

This room was such a fabulous bargain and I'd love to see someone use it. If you've ever had any success in changing ressie names or have any ideas of what I can do with this room, please let me know.

give Priceline a call, if you are really nice they sometimes will cancel the reservation and charge you a 25.00 cancellation fee.
The most they can say is no.

Call the hotel and see if they will let you "add" a name to the ressie.

Priceline has added "non-transferable" to it's "non-changeable" and "non-refundable" fine print. However, I haven't had any problems giving the hotel the name of the "other person" who will be checking in. A few years back I had several Priceline reservations for trips I ended up not taking, and I gave the rooms to DIS friends. They had no problems checking in when I called the hotels to add their names. Of course, I had also e-mailed them my Priceline confirmation so they could take it with them.

I have also heard you can "add" a name on a reservation. Dont give up that great rate! I'm sure you can find someone to buy it from you!

I have given several Priceline ressies to DISers when I could not go. I just added their name to my res.. I have not sold the ressie but I'm sure you'll make out fine. Threehearts

Thanks everyone for your responses & PM's & my apologies for not responding. We had a severe illness in the family & it's been quite a stressful time.

That being said, after everything we've been through, my DD & I decided that we need to get away & we're going to use the ressie & make it a mom-daughter trip.
