If my family went to swim with the dolphins would I be able to go along just to take pictures of them? Or do people who pay only get to go on this excursion???

When I signed up with All Seasons Travel I got an e-mail from a company called Shore Trips. I am interested in doing the Swim with the Dolphins with my son but others in the party would prefer to just watch. They stated that their excursion could be attended by others for a $20.00 fee. This is for the ferry ride and use of the beach I believe. They have their own website. Go to shoretrips.com

I don't know if your doing your excursion through Disney or another company...so that might make a difference.

I can tell you that me, DH, and DSS went on our excursion through Shoretrips.com (great company by the way). My sister was also with us, but she didn't sign up for the excursion. When we got there (our Dolphin Swim was in Cozumel), I asked if she could at least just come out on the decks with us. They let her (didn't charge her or anything)...she even video taped it.

Hope this helps!

So what you're telling me is that I can book an excursion through this "SHore Trips" and they pick us up off the Magic and take us there?

The reason being I got a video of a friend's dolphin excursion and they just stood with the dolphins. It looks like the one at this place actually allows you to swim with them. Am I correct with this??? Thanks so much !!!

Is this for the Western swim at Chankanaab? If so the Shoretrips.com swim is much better than the encounter you can book thru Disney. You just need to get a taxi to Chankanaab (very easy there are a million taxis around). We loved the swim and highly recommmend shoretrips.com

Yes it is on the Western. Do you actually get to "swim" with the dolphins there or is it standing there hugging and kissing them??

Yes, you actually get to swim with them, IF you get the "Royal Swim" through Shore Trips.

We were in the water, did a "kiss", then a "dance" with them, also had one dolphin on each side and grabbed a fin and they pulled us, the other swim you do with them is called the foot push. You also get some "free" time with them in the water. It was a GREAT time...and finding your own taxi to the park was simple (and thats coming from someone whos NEVER traveled anywhere before this cruise).
