I've got a trip coming up in April and am planning it now. Because our spring break is Easter week this year,
prices at the Disney resorts are sky high. I'm considering the Dolphin and can use the teacher rate. I'll be with my five year old daughter and possibly my 75 year OLD mom. The rate is not great, but it is so much better than any of the other Epcot resorts.
I love being close to Epcot during F&G, but we will be spending equal time at all four parks, so will need to bus to MK and AK.
I am a little hesitant about the Dolphin since I am all about Disney theming. I'll also miss charging with my MB, the refillable resort mug, and the Disney TV channels. On the other hand, I have stayed at both Pop and POFQ and have never tried the Dolphin. I'm also thinking that crowds are going to be bad and we may be spending quite a bit of time at the resort. It would be nice to have the Boardwalk nearby and the Swan/Dolphin pool complex.
I can get a traditional room at the Dolphin for about $700 more for six nights (including parking, resort, and taxes) than POFQ, and about $900 more than Pop.
I can afford to stay at the Dolphin. The question is this: Is the Dolphin worth the cost difference in Pop and POFQ?
