Dolphin or Swan

Does anybody have any preferences on the rooms at the Dolphin or Swan. I am trying to decide which one to stay at in June with my 21 DD and her friend. I could not get reservations at BW and thought this would be the next best thing. Any info on these resorts would be greatly appreciated.

We jsut spent 2 nights at the Swan and loved it but if I were to do it again I would go with the dolphin. Better meal options and a 24 hr soda station had me sold

The Unofficial Guide said that the main differences between the Swan & Dolphin are in their sizes and public areas. The Dolphin is larger and more energetic, its lobby is bigger, and there are more dining options.

The Swan on the other hand is smaller, quieter, with an intimate lobby and less dining options.

If you weren't planning to eat at the resort, I would go with the Swan. Personally the Dolphin is my favorite, but the views of the Dolphin from the Swan are really nice.

The Dolphin has one sink while the Swan has two (extra one is outside the bathroom). This makes it easier to get ready in the morning for us!

We've stayed at both and we are planning to go back to the Dolphin this June. For us we like the convenience of the Dolphin. We also have 2 small kids too. Really though I'd consider the Swan and Dolphin just 2 different wings of the same resort. I think you'll be happy with either one. For us we like the Dolphin just a little better.

Check out our room view from the Dolphin in 2005. We could see the Epcot fireworks every night and still see the Disney Boardwalk and MGM.

The rooms are the same at both resorts. Staff excellent at both.

They are right across from each other, the Swan is much smaller, not as fancy a lobby. We usually stay at the Dolphin.

Either one you choose, you are going to love it!

We LOVE the Swan and Dolphin and have been there many many MANY times. I personally prefer the Swan but they both have advantages:
- Swan has 2 queen beds, Dolphin has 2 double beds
- Swan is smaller, more intimate, Dolphin large impressive lobby with more food choices
- Dolphin has the refillable soda fountain, so its a walk from the swan to do it, but easy from the pool which is really when we need it.
- Dolphin has first floor rooms which are great for my older kids who like to walk right outside the room and look for lizards.
- Swan has character breakfast on weekends and character dinners.
They each have a regular pool and they share the grotto pool which is awesome.
You will love it!

Disney busses pick up and drop off at the Swan before the Dolphin.

We have stayed at the Dolphin and loved it....wouldn't even have to try the Swan after staying at the Dolphin.

Stayed at both and like the Swan better because it is quieter, less conventioners there.

I agree in that I liked our room at the Swan better. It was roomier and much cleaner, and the two sinks are nice!

But since the dolphin is taller, you can get a better view.
