Dolphin or Swan-- is there a difference?

Is there a difference between the Dolphin and Swan (besides the name )? We will be returning from a 3/4 Disney cruise and are going to stay an extra two days. The first day will probably just be relaxing and recovering and the second day, we plan on going to one of the parks. There are four of us (DH, and DD twins --7 y/o).

The Swan has a bit smaller rooms with queen size beds. The Dolphin has larger rooms with double beds. The Swan is about half the size of the Dolphin. Both have large pools and share the grotto pool. Some of the Swan rooms have been just remodeled. They are right neaxt to eachother so it is easy to enjoy both of them no matter which one you sleep in.

I think the Dolphin is much prettier then the Swan, the lobby I mean. The Dolphin also has Tubbies the cafeteria that has refillable drink mugs. We chose the Dolphin over the Swan for the 2nd time because of the cafeteria, we have 3 kids.

I like the Swan best. It is smaller and quieter. I did not see all the conventioneers at the Swan either. Most people say that they can not tell the difference in the beds but I could.

The Swan and Dolphin are considered "sister resorts" meaning they share the same Disney transportation and amenities.

There is a nice courtyard (walkway) that goes between the two resorts. The boat ramp is positioned so that it is at a half-way point between both resorts.

We have stayed at both the Swan and Dolphin now, and we prefer the Dolphin. It's more festive and has more of the conveniences we are looking for like Tubbi's Buffeteria, the arcade, and for some reason, it seems closer to the main "Grotto Pool" area.

Either choice is a good one, but we'll always prefer the Dolphin!

We just came back from Swan and we have a reservation at Swan for December. But I am seriously considering moving to Dolphin if I can get renovated rooms at the club level. Dolphin is much more convenient in terms of having Tubbie's and self service laundry right downstairs, beautiful lobby and the pools are right outside the door too.

As far as convention people, they are at both resorts. The time we were there, they had several conventions going at the same time and they were staying at both resorts.
