My family and I have officially begun to plan our spring trip to The World (Yay!!) This time we would like to stay at a deluxe resort, in a room with a balcony and a nice view. We are leaning toward the Dolphin (Epcot view) or the Beach/ Yacht Club (water view.) Any suggestions or input?? Which would you choose?? Thanks :D

My family loves the BC. It's less formal than the YC and SAB is the best pool at WDW.

If money isn't an issue, go with BC. Dolphin does have some great discount rates though, and it is a Deluxe hotel. You might be able to get a suite or a King Deluxe room with two balconies. The Dolphin grotto pool is great, but not as impressive as BC. Either way, you can't go wrong. The location right next to Epcot/MGM/Boardwalk is awesome.

We really loved the YC,had a great view of the Boardwalk, and found it a much more quieter place than teh BC,which was too busy for us.

However as the S/D are beautiful and the location is great, they are a better value. So you might consider staying there and using the savings for some special meals/entertainment

If balcony is a priority, there are more balconies at the Yacht Club than the Beach Club. I would choose the Swan over the Dolphin. I don't think you can go wrong with the Yacht Club or Swan.

Gene is 6'5", so bed size is a big deal to us. The Dolphin has double beds. The YC, BC, BW, and Swan have queen size beds. I think that's the biggest difference, they're all at the same location.

We been to YC and Swan/dolphin - Definately go with YC/BC. Pool much better, atmosphere better, rooms better. We opted to go to swan this because of discounts, hopefully next year we can go bact to YC/BC.

If you have never stayed at BC or YC, you'll definitely be pleased with either of these resorts. The pool is incredible with the sand bottom, we don't even go to the water parks when we stay there. Beaches and Cream has been my kids favorite place to eat for years, you can go in your bathing suits if you want. The Yachtsman steakhouse is where we had the best steaks ever, even better than Ruth Chris. Both are so close to Epcot you can walk over to the different countries for meals. The rooms seem larger than Swan/Dolphin and not as much conference traffic.
Whatever you decide, have a great time!
