I got an AP just to book the room at the AP rate (and hopefully can use it before Dec next yr) at the Dolphin. I did not get it until we arrived at the airport so I would have it upon checkin. I was so excited at checkin that I did not even realize until after we got to the room that the lady that checked us in never asked to see it, but I kept thinking they might want to see it at checkout. However, they have express checkout so no one ever knew if I had one or not. I am an honest person and my conscience would not let me get that rate without having the pass, but I guess someone could checkin without it and say you were going to buy it when you got to the park and would stop by before you checked out to show it. If not, I guess you could buy a park hopper and save a couple hundred bucks. I think if people book a room at a certain rate that requires a membership or special pass, the hotel should verify. Maybe this is why the AP rate availability runs out so fast.
