My family (self, husband, 4 yr-old and grandfather) will be visiting WDW for 5 days in the fall. We definitely need accomodations with a separate bedroom, so I was thinking of either a junior suite at the dolphin or a 1-bedroom villa at the WL.

Any thoughts on which might be better? The WL is closer to the Magic Kingdom, which is where we will be swending a majority of our time, but I'm afraid a villa might make us more separated from the rest of the resort. I'm thinking the Dolphin location is also good, and the resort itself sounds beautiful. Pricewise, they seem to be comparable, so I'd love to hear some opinions of people who have been there.

We own DVC at the VWL. I don't think you'd feel "separated" from the WL at all. It's just a short walk -- like a minute -- along a covered walkway. Plus, the villas are closer to the bus stops than the main Lodge (again, not that there's that much difference).

A 1-bdrm at the VWL will get you a master suite with a king bed, and then a pull-out sofa in the living room. Plus a *full* kitchen and a washer & dryer (very handy!). And that jacuzzi tub is soooo nice.

You can watch the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach each night at the WL, and the boat ride to the MK is very handy, especially if that's where you plan to spend the majority of your time. I believe the Dolphin shares transportation with *all* the Epcot resorts, so you could be in for a looong ride to the MK each time you go!

Can you tell we love our Lodge? ;) Have fun whichever place you choose!!
