Dolphin is sold out and Swan is pretty Full for Xmas/New Year Time!!!!

I have a reservation at Swan for 4 rooms for 10 nights between 12/24 and 1/3/04. I have been accumulating spg pts for the club level upgrade.

However, when I called yesterday to check on availability for the club level. Both hotels are sold out, I was told that Dolphin is completely sold out for all the rooms. Is this possible?

Now with Disney's holding back on other discounts, it seems that there are even more people going to S/D.

What do you think my chance of getting club level with spg pts? It does not look very good at all now, especially I can't use the pts to do the upgrade until 5 days prior to arrival

You can still have Club Level access if you stay on another floor. Many people do this because the club level rooms don't have balconies. Maybe you snag a room with fireworks view.

That is a great point. I guess there is still hope. However, I am not sure they would let me do this prior to check-in. Also, do they allow additional people in the club lounge when club rooms are all sold out?

My problem is that I need 4 rooms for 10 nights. I guess whatever happens happens. I should just be happy that we will all be there

I do know that you can pay for club level access and be able to get into the club lounge, but I don't know if they put a limit on how many people they give that access to. I've heard mixed reviews about the club lounge.

You may want to use your points for at least one junior suite or a King Deluxe room. I think that's what the round rooms with the double balconies are called.

thanks for the response again. I just called spg and was told all suites were booked up already. but now they said that there are club room available. So I guess I just have to wait to see what is available 5 days prior and go from there. thanks again.
