Hello - I remember reading something about a dolphin interaction at the Seaworld park...does anyone know if it is still around and if it is the same/better/worse than the dolphin swin at DC? Thanks!

Last time we were at SW you could pay a few dollars (can't remember exact amount) and feed the dolphins - only at certain times. Whilst you are feeding them you might be lucky enough to have your photo taken, in which case you can purchase them as well! During the same trip we went to DC, there is no comparison - DC dolphin experience is a thousand times better and worth the money. If some one had said to me as we were leaving DC 'I am sorry but we undercharged you by $150 a person' I think I would have paid it. Although we are coming to Florida this year we are not planning to do DC again until next year.

Thanks - I will have to go for the DC then. I've always wanted to do the swim with dolphins thing and promised myself I would do it this trip. Glad to see you thought it worthwhile....do you get much individual time with the dolphin and does everyone get to go for a 'ride'?

You go for your interaction in groups we were a group of eight, a young couple, a mother and son and the four of us, you do spend individual time with the dolphin although it is in small amounts, everyone gets to feed, stroke, and ride the dolphin and also give instructions for easy tricks, i.e. roll over, away and jump etc. The time did not appear to go that quickly, and afterwards you are taken off to see your photo's. The one thing we were dissappointed in was the video which we could not view before buying, once we arrived home to the UK and watched it we felt that it was amateurish - but saying that I think that we would have still bought it a a reminder of a great time and the kids do still watch it. We will be going back next year.

DC and the dolphin experience was well worth the money. THe park is absolutely beautiful and we loved the interaction in all the lagoons and aviaries, but the dolphins were quite special. To purchase the photos and video were expensive but we could not imagine not having this memory to look back on. We bought the CD of pictures so that we were free to make whichever ones we want and the video was a bit of a disappointment but we are still glad to have purchased it.
