Dolphin (Hotel) Fan

Hi

Just got back from 1 wk at Disney and 1 Wk at Universal - stayed at the Dolphin and just wanted to say I thought it was bril! Location fabulous, facilities great, and pools practically empty (I think it could be something to do with it being used by business travellers) previously stayed at Carribean Beach (YUK thought it like Butlins without redcoats) and Polynesian (which was nice but I would prefer the Dolphin).
Stayed in the Hardrock at Universal - nice hotel, great location but wasnt mad about it - very busy and loud, spent a lot of time a Portfino Bay which was fab, only sorry I didnt book that instead.
If your going to Universal I would highly recommed staying at one of their hotels as the FOTL passes were amazing - not getting up at unearthly hours and military planning regarding getting fast passes and rushing to certain rides.
If you have any questions re these hotels I'll try to answer them.

Did you use the boat or walk to MGM & Epcot? If you walked, how long did it take?

We used both feet and boat! the walk to Epcot was only 10 mins at the very most - just along the boardwalk and across the bridge really close, We actually only took the boat to MGM as we just went once but it was also very close -
I really cant empahise the brilliant location of both the Swan and Dolphin! - the bus service to all other parks etc was frequent and took very little time.

We are staying at the Dolphin over new year. Are the rooms nice? Are they quite spacous? Also is there coffee makers etc ?
