Dolphin fridge question

I hear that you can use the mini-bar fridge at the Dolphin for personal use for $20. Does anyone know if that's per day or per stay?

This may still be accurate, it used to be $20-25 for the stay. They would actually empty the mini bar type frig for that. I'm pretty sure that's still the case?? I believe the WDW resorts charge $10 a day to bring in a frig but since there's already one at the Dolphin it's different.

Do you have a lot of stuff you want to put in? The reason why I ask is because we still bring a few items, turkey, cheese, little oj's, etc and fit them around the items that are already in the frig, so if you only have a few things-it won't cost anything:p

Mainly a bunch of Diet Pepsi. ALthough if there's a tiny freezer thing inside, we may bring an icepack. Do you know if there is?

There is a tiny freezer thing inside but it is not great. It's not real good keeping things frozen, especially ice paks. What you might want to do, we do this with bottled water--just put a few at a time in there and keep the rest in your room, as you drink one just replace it with another.

Another thing to think about while you're there is their refillable mug. I believe it's $10 and everytime you come back from somewhere you can stop by Tubbi's and refill it, (I just can't remember if they're Pepsi or ....Coca Cola...eekks).

That's a one-time charge~BUT...you can EMPTY it YOURSELF, at NO CHARGE. Just be sure to call the room service #, and speak with a MGR (they restock the mini-bar). Inform them you have emptied the mini-bar, and will NOT be needing the services of the re-stocking associate during your stay. Please, ask them to REMOVE your name from the roster. Also, tell them you will re-stock the items prior to your departure.

The mini-bar is fine for beverages, and small snacks. It's not truly COLD, more on the COOL side. Yet, beverages placed in the top shelf and left overnight will nearly FREEZE. Also, small bottles of water will fit in the fridge too.

If you have a "medical" need for a fridge (such as a child whom needs any kind of meds, etc., which must be kept cold), the resort will lend you the use of a larger in-room fridge FREE of charge for the duration of your stay. Be sure to ask/mention this to the reservation associate if these requirements fit your needs.

Hope this helps....
