Dolphin found....

They can believe what they want, but so can I and I'm perfectly capable of descerning for myself what I should believe and they have no right to tell me I'm stupid for believing in it.
Who called you stupid? Do you feel stupid? I don't get your outrage...you're free to believe how you wish...science isn't forcing you to believe anything, it simply asks the question.

Are you serious??? :confused3

There is a very clear case described in many biology text booksabout moths that lived in Manchester, England. The moths were predominantely white. As the industiral revolution occurred, the area became more polluted and the moths were in danger because they were so visible. At some point, a random mutation occurred and some of the moths emerged darker than their parents. The darker moths were more successful because they couldn't been seen (and subsequently eaten) as easily. Now, all of this specific type of moth are dark. Evolution at work.

Actually, the Peppered Moth case has been exposed as, at best, junk science, but most likely, an intentional fraud. Even a cursory internet search will bring up nearly a million web sites that discuss this. For the life of me, I can't figure out why this example still makes it into text books. Try this link as just one of many examples: http://www.arn.org/docs2/news/pepperedmyth111702.htm

.way, babies are born with tails, i really don't think that a dolphin with an extra set of fins is really that big a deal.
Babies as in human babies have tails? Just where do you live, chernobyl? :lmao: :rotfl2:

The ARN is hardly an impartial source. If you have any links listing it as "junk science" from sources that are not intelligent design support groups, I'd love to see them.

Please, oh please don't let cantw8 get wind of it.

Guess this is the fundamentalist, "Bible-is-100%-inerrant" Christians' worst nightmare, right?

Wait! Shh! Shh! You're making the intelligent design people even more doubtful of their beliefs! Now, that wouldn't do, would it?

There is also a lot of evidence against evolution.

I challenge you to present me with any evidence stemming from a completely impartial (e.g., non-Christian-agenda) source.

And let the flames begin! :rolleyes1

....to me it just looks like an extra set of fins. it doesn't look like "hands" i dunno what the big deal is with all the scientists "omg it looks like a human palm"

anyway, babies are born with tails, i really don't think that a dolphin with an extra set of fins is really that big a deal.

...And your scientific credentials are...?

Junk science? Junk science? And then you give us a link to an intelligent design page? Junk science, indeed.

Where are the mostly-ape / partly man?

Hey, wait a minute now--I think I've MET one of these creatures!! As a matter of fact, I think I was MARRIED to this creature for about 7 years!!!! To my knowledge he's somewhere in Southern Illinois!!!!

JK--I couldn't resist. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread . . .

Intelligent design? I don't think much of your Intelligent Designer then. Is it intelligent to put the 'playground' between the sewers? How about vestigal organs- not too intelligent to leave those around when that space could be filled with organs that actually work.
