I am looking for reviews of the Dolphin Experience at EPCOT. Our daughter would like to reserve the tour in June. While we have a bit of time before we will be able to reserve, I would like reviews from others. Was the Dolphin Experience more of a "classroom" type experience, did you actually have any interaction with the dolphins, etc.? Was it worthwhile and did you enjoy it?

I realize this experience probably does not compare with that offered elsewhere, but we really do not have the time or inclination to venture offsite during this trip.

Any firsthand information would be greatly appreciated. :thumbsup2

Bumping for the evening crowd and hoping someone has actually experienced this "tour".

Hi! :wave2: DS and I did this about a year and a half ago and we absolutely LOVED it!! :thumbsup2 There were a lot of "classroom" type :teacher: experiences included in the tour, but it was so well done, and so interesting, that part really flew by! The actual time spent with the dolphins was only about 30 minutes, but that seemed okay, too. You don't actually swim with the dolphins, you more like "wade" with them. You are given a VERY stylish wet suit to put on shortly before you go into the tank (you bring a swimsuit to put on under it) After lots of discussion of what to expect, you head down a ramp into water roughly waist deep. They introduce the dolphins to you and show you how they do some tricks, etc. You get to pat them, hug them to get your picture taken, and make the dolphins do a trick or two. It was an amazing experience. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I had no idea that this exsisted in Epcot!! So awesome. I take it you pay extra for the Dolphin Experience, right? Any idea how much it is? Is there an age or height limit? Where in Epcot is this place? How do you make a ressie for it?

Thanks for your time, Suz

:woohoo: I'm SO EXCITED!!!!!:woohoo:

I'm doing this in December and can't WAIT!! :yay:

We just 'swam' with the dolphins at PCB in the gulf and it was WONDERFUL!!!

Here's my first 'encounter' with a dolphin.....

I got so excited I almost covered the lens with my finger :lmao: ...they are definitely very friendly creatures....this amazed me that these 'wild' animals would come right up to you and swim away....they are beautiful

It was great....I can't wait to be around some 'trained' dolphins!!!

There will be four of us (3 adults and our daughter will be 17) and I'm hoping we won't have a difficult time making a reservation. I will be sure to jump on it quickly. This will be our daughter's graduation gift and she is very excited to actually touch a dolphin. This sounds like a great experience and thanks for the link and reviews!
