We are traveling in December with our daughter whom will be 2 years old for the cruise.

I feel like she's ready to do a few fun excursions but not sure if there are any that she can do.

Does anyone have any experience with a 2 year old doing an dolphin encounters? I see the shallow water experience shows up when I check the 0-2 box. But it doesn't give a price for 2 and under does that mean she's free?

Or any suggestions for which excursions to book in Nassau?

Thank you in advanced!!

While I don't have a personal experience, a very good friend of mine did the swim with the dolphin excursion in Nassau just under a year ago and she told me that it was NOT worth it. AT. ALL. She was very upset with the people running the experience - they made all the kids sit on the beach right next to the water, but they couldn't touch the water, there was hardly any time for her kids (at the time they were 3 and 5) in the water with the dolphins, and she said she never actually got to get close to a dolphin. Overall she was really disappointed and would have liked to do something else because she felt her money was wasted.

There are 2 dolphin encounters on Nassau. We just did the Dolphin Encounter at Blue Lagoon with our group of 11 including 5 kids (6,8,11,14,17). We had a terrific trainer (very funny) and lots of interaction with the dolphin - lots of petting his back and belly, touching his tongue and teeth and lots of kisses! It was the highlight of our cruise for many of us. I would highly recommend it - not quite sure if 2 if too young though but I probably would have taken mine when they were 2. :-) We were on another line and our port time was changed so we didn't have any time to enjoy the beach but it looked fun. If you have time, I'd suggest spending time on the beach as well. Will make for a nice, fun day for you and your daughter. One thing to note....Blue Lagoon will not let you book directly if they know you're coming in from a cruise ship. Our TA booked through Shore Trips for us. It was less expensive than booking through the cruise line for the same experience. We got off the ship, got a taxi to Paradise Island for the ferry ($4pp). On the way back the ferry dropped as right near the ship (great photos of our ship from that point).
