Has anyone done the Atlantis Dolphin Cay Deep Water Interaction & Aquadventure?
My understanding is that camera's are not allowed in the actual dolphin part of this, however, you can take pictures while on the beach area if there are participants not going in the water... How far away is the "beach area" from the Dolphin area? I'm sure their staff will take a lot of photos so that customers can purchase them, etc... Does anyone know or remember their photo packages? Do they offer a CD of all images taken of you and your family? Or is everything separate?
Also... if you are a grandmother tagging along and are not going to be in the water at all, just wanted to watch... do you still have to pay to get in? Or is this beach area for family member's not participating?
Thanks in advance... I'm sort of bummed we are unable to bring cameras into the waters, etc... but I understand it would probably make the dolphins uneasy, etc... I am a professional photographer, and have really good equipment so I'm wondering if it's worth lugging my equipment in to the location to try to take some pictures in their beach area, etc...
**Also... if anyone has done this excursion... can you post pics if you've purchased from them? or pictures you've taken from the beach area??? Would love to see the perspective.

My 8yr old daughter and I did the Atlantis Deep Water in Nov 2015 and enjoyed it very much.

I can’t say exactly how far the beach area is, but I gather if you had an impressive zoom you’d be able to catch some shots depending on the angle. They do charge for people to wait on the beach. It’s called ‘Observer at Atlantis Dolphin Cay & Aquaventure (N46)’ & ‘Observer at Atlantis Dolphin Cay & Discover Atlantis (N51)’ – the former is $205 and the latter is $87.

The staff takes tons of pictures. They had a photographer dedicated to our group. I don’t remember the photo packages, as I bought the whole lot on a thumb drive – just to save time and get on with our day. They did sell pictures individually or smaller packages. We got about 65 photos but not entirely sure how much it was, as my credit card says $147, but I remember we also bought a shot glass and rash guard too, so maybe $100?

As for bringing a camera with you – you’re pretty busy the entire time interacting with the dolphin. If you are doing the experience with someone then you’re in the water the entire time, so you wouldn’t have the opportunity to get out of the water, get your camera out of the locker and then take pictures from the beach without really impacting your time enjoying the experience.

PM me if you want some pictures, as I can’t seem to upload any media no matter what browser I try. We got pics holding the dolphins fins, kissing the dolphin, posing with the dolphin with the Atlantis tower in the background and even with the dolphin pushing us across the lagoon.
