How are the discount rooms in the Dolphin, I'm sure they don't have the best of views but was wondering on hearing any one's experiences first hand.

Thanks Jack

We're going 2/27 - 3/6, have AAA ressies of $162.50/night. It's the same rate as the Entertainment rate.

Some time in Nov/Dec. travelzoo released $99/night, so here's hoping they released those rates for my dates!

We stayed at the Dolphin from Dec 13-26 for $99/night. The room was great. It was a non-smoking renovated room and we got a free upgrade to a Lake View room. We could see the MGM Studio from our windows.:D

OK, I couldn't figure out how to post a pic of the room. Try this link:

We are going to Dolphin on April 24- May 1, and requested a resort view room w/ balcony and was told they cannot guarantee a resort view room but the request is on our reservations. How can you get a free upgrad to a Lake view room w/ balcony??

I appreciate any info you can give me. This is our 1st time to WDW!::yes::

Hi Racheal,

I didn't ask for an upgrade or anything. At check-in, the CM and I chatted while she entered stuff into her computer... when she learned that it was our first stay at Dolphin, she just upgraded us to a room with Lake/Resort view. She said it was a Lake view room but when I checked my reservation on SPG the other day, it said "Resort View" on my reservation... so I'm not sure which one it was. We got a nice MGM view.:D

Thanks Dolphin_Girl for that tip. I'll be sure to mention that it's our first time to WDW and the Dolphin and maybe they'll be nice to us too!! One can only hope! :D

Hi Racheal,

You may want to add your requests to your reservation on Dolphin's website. You can mention that it's your first visit/stay...:D
