Ok, so I booked my family, 3 adults, 1 child, two nights with 2-day tickets to Dollywood for the dates of
May 5th-7th in a regular 2-queen room for a total of $758.81, rack rate. Is there any way to cut this cost? I really want to stay at the Dream More Resort, so switching there is not an option I want to look into, but I might could be convinced to do so, for a comparable resort.

Any ways to get a discount there, save money. I looked at Orbitz and didn't see the resort on there, so not sure about online agents. Also, I am assuming that the crowds might not be too bad then, as I am just going by what I know about Disney World crowd calendars.

Advice, tips, info, bring it on! Its only like a 3-hour drive from our house, so I'm psyched about that.

Have you joined DreamMore's Founder's Club? They send out discount codes and special offers for the resort from time to time, and it's free to join. Look under About Us, then Founders Club Premier on the DreamMore website. The Premier Club has a fee, but further down the page it describes the free option.

Dreammore also offers AAA discounts, if you're eligible for that.

We have been to Dollywood several times and LOVED it. Hoping to go back and stay at the DreamMore ourselves sometime soon. :yay:

I have noticed that. The Premier Club has a fee of $129 but with the free night offer, I could possibly pay $129 for a night that will run me around $225. Plus a real good chance of a free upgrade at the resort, on 1 day ticket with the purchase, and 20% off of some dining. I am going to call them and see what dates that "free" night applies to. Possibly a very good deal just right there.

I called them and several of the dates I ask about are available! If I were to switch to a king room with bunk beds, with the 2-day tickets, rack rate would be $736.36 but with the Founders Club Premier it would knock it down to $608.30 for the same thing. A savings of $128.06, plus an extra one day ticket included. Probably will get into the club tomorrow!

We have stayed at Dream More several times since it opened this year.
If you're only 3 hours away and plan on making at least two trips this year, I recommend going ahead and getting season passes. Make sure at least one person gets a gold pass. The gold pass entitles that person to get free parking at the park and a 10% discount on purchases in the park. You are also able to get a discount at DreamMore. In the summer they have fireworks every night. The lights at Christmas are great too.

The hotel is fine. The staff is super friendly. The indoor pool is nice. They have a playground this is geared towards 4-8 year olds. They do a campfire and smores at night (I think the cost is $5). They is a shuttle every 15 minutes to the park, which is a lot nicer than driving, parking, and walking. Staying at the resort also gets you Dolly's version of the fastpass.

I (shockingly) became a Dollywood fan this past summer. I am also 3-ish hours away. It's a perfect long weekend trip for my family (kids are 3&5).

I want to experience the park before I decide as to buy a season pass at some point. Don't think we will be doing Splash Country, but I want to try it later on.

Season passes are super cheap, how much are you paying pp for tickets? Gold pass upgrade for the 20% off is also very cheap. You just need it on one pass.

Splash country is ok, the water never seems to warm up, even on scorcher days.

Well if we stay at the Dream More Resort we can get a two day ticket for like $62. I want to defiantly try it out before purchasing a season pass. Not sure I'm gonna be that thrilled with the park.

We live about 100 miles from dollywood, and had pases this year.

The thing I like about it, they try to bring in new things every quarter. So if you plan it right, you can do festival of nations, then great american summer, harvest festival, then Christmas. They will bring in different shows to give you a different experience. They do a great job for a $90 season pass I think. I know your dates are different, but if you buy your pass the first week of December, you get that Christmas season plus the entire next year.

You might be surprised once you get there :)

Just get your season pass before you leave for the day if you like it. You will just pay the price difference. If you will go often and need parking, definitely get one gold pass.
