Dollywood Question - Handicapped Parking

Hi Everyone,

Taking a trip to Dollywood for the first time ever this early October with my sister and my Mom. My Mom will be using an electric wheelchair and has a handicap placard. Is the handicap parking close to the entrance or will we still need to use the tram? We are staying offsite and I'm just trying to figure it all out. And if the trams would accommodate her wheelchair. I'm assuming they would but figured I would ask.

Have you tried looking on Google maps?

There are HA spaces that are actually nearer the entrance than walking back to get on the tram. Plus, even if you are by that first tram stop, it is still not a far walk to entrance.

I am not sure about putting the electric wheelchair on the tram. I hope someone knows that answer.

Thanks! We are going to try to get to the park an hour before opening so hopefully there won't be any issues getting one of the close handicap places.

There is one option if it’s still there that may be worth the money. The preferred is the closest I think to the entrance and no trams at all.
