I have never rented a car from Dollar before, only from Avis..I need a minivan for 10 days , and my $ from Avis is $698!!! and from Dollar, its only $446!! why do you think there is such a big difference in price? Is Dollar a good rental company? are their minivans/cars new? Is their check in/pick up area in the terminal (at MCO) or do you need to take a shuttle?
and for their "Express service", can you go on the express line (when your a member) on your very first rental? (I ask this because on Avis Preferred program, you cannot use the express line if its your very first time renting as a preferred)
Thanks!!

we've used Dollar from MCO and TPA. they are in terminal and cars were fine. I've never used their express plan and really never needed it. 1-2 people in line at most each time. we'll be using them in Nov. and got a great discount using promo code: KISS2
hope this helps!:goodvibes

I probably use Dollar 9 out of every 10 times. They are a good agency to do business with. And they tend to be less expensive than most. Dollar is the business class company under joint ownership with Thrifty, the leisure class version. Dollar's express service is called Dollar Express and there is a separate line at MCO for customers who made Dollar Express reservations. Like other company's similar service you can sign up online and you streamline the process by preloading drivers license and credit card information in addition to your address, etc. I think Dollar also requires a business name, too, and you can put any name in that space. Your reservation has to have your Dollar Express number on it. If you've made a reservation before you get your number you can email or call Dollar and they will add the number to your reservation when you get it.
And for Orlando one of the best things is that Dollar is an on site agency. You pick up your car in the parking garage across the street from Ground Transporation. They are very convenient and easy to do busy with.

I've used them many times. Avis is definitely better, in terms of service, but Dollar is good enough.

I am using Budget for our April mini van rental.

Using a code from mousesavers, I was able to get $250 plus tax for 8 days. Total is about $300 even.

We have used Dollar many times and always had a great experience. They are very easy to deal with and have quick service.

Thanks so much for your replies, everybody! We will be going with Dollar!
