Dollar Ocvb Code Says $158 Wk Minivan - Can't Get Rate

Hi - When I check for codes on www.rentalcodes.com it says the OCVB code for Dollar's minivans are about $159 a week. Yet..can't get better than $199 a week.

Anyone else able to get that rate? Wondering if it is a typo. I'd love to get that rate. We are going June 18-27th and the lowest I can get for that time for a minivan is $345 with Dollar.

Any help on lowering this would be really appreciated.

I think it's a typo .

The OCVB and KISS2 codes are basically the same Convention sight discount and run about the same.

I tried it as well as another one last night trying to get a 4 day rental van in Aug and can't find anything cheap as well.

Heather, looking at your dates you are going for 9 days not 7 so they have to charge you for the extra days.

It's not a typo, I got it for my October trip. It's $159 for the week and $30 for hte extra day. The total with tax and fees for 8 days is $242. I booked it back in February.

No...I realize that I am going more than a week. But the weekly rate when I try to book it is coming up as $199 plus the extra days.

Wonder if there is a way to get this rate? Anyone know? I cleared all my cookies in case it "saved" the 199 rate. But...still can't get it for my dates.

You'll probably find that the wording in the offer is 'starting at $159/wk' or 'as low as $159/wk'. That means that it's not available at that price all the time - just on selected dates.

The cheapest I could find for our week was 302 minivan from thrifty. I figure gas prices have skyrocketed and they are going to pass along to the customer. I was thrilled for that rate as they were varying from 500 to 300 for 8 days.

Deals like that are usually available on a limited basis. So it is possible that others have already grabbed all of the availability for your time period.

try going to dollar's website directly and type in the promo code of OCVB or KISS2 or KISSE maybe they will work there.

That code did not work for me either. Rental would be between 12/1 and 12/7. I called Dollar directly to see if perhaps the rate was a phone-only code, but no luck.

Congrats to all who do get the good rate with this code (and let us know the secret!).

i used that code for our 9/28 - 10/5 trip, HOWEVER, i booked it back on Jan. 18th...got a minivan for a week for $205 taxes in.
