dollar minivan?

I just rented a minivan from Budget at $199 a week instead of Dollar because of the upgrade charge. I sent an email to Budget and asked if I could use my American express and rewards $ to pay for this specific reservation and they said yes. So we will try Budget for the first time ever. Any suggestions about Budget?

Any recent experiences with Dollar and regular Caravans? I will be going in August and will likely be getting a Dollar minivan (National specials are not good at this time) and really want to get a Grand Caravan.

Also, if parties have paid the 'upgrade' price, is this negotiable?
